Another thing funny-weird about the AIG situation is that the same congress that passed a $1 trillion dollar "stimulus" package is now terrified about $150 million in bonuses to deserving people...people that will spend or invest the money....just what our economy really needs...like wise, the people receiving the bonuses are more than likely in high tax brackets, so a portion will go back to the Gov anyways...both state, local, and federal the democrats entire recovery policy is based on the ideas of Mr. JM Keynes....His theory to get a country out of a recession was to dump money into and that it doesn't really matter where you dump it ...."bury cash in jars, and people will start mining"... not sure if it is the best way...but then again, nobody knows. The new democrats' stipulation on his theory: dump the cash where it only aids poor people/communities...the people/communities that mismanage their money so badly that no good can come of it. And the kicker, they are using tax payer dollars to ensure they get re-elected. someone shoot me, please!

It is easy to sit back and think like this. However, if you were in charge of the company what would you do to retain the employees that could help AIG get through this: not everyone at the company is to blame for it's failures. Any employee that is smart is thinking "why would I stay at a company that is in the tank-I should go elsewhere". Now if all the smart employees actually left, AIG would surely fail and then be taken over by the government: I think we all know how that would work out. They are giving the bonuses to retain the good employees. Now do I think this will work? I really have no idea, but I can stomach the bonuses given this situation. And yes, I do realize some of the people getting bonuses are to blame and don't deserve it.

no good at signatures...as you can tell I still have mine from last year's contest...lol went out this past weekend to do a little scouting....nothings changed, the rios are still roosting in the same grove of trees they have for the past ten years-probably longer, but I have only hunted there for five years. half a month left -
with a brian??? lol Yup, it is a great read. Nothing more. Obama's first actions as president have already killed points 2, 3, & 4 and they don't bode well for numero uno.

Don't think I would want any association with the new administration either. I think him stepping down really shows how legt-wing the "change" agenda is. http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20090213/pl_politico/18821

Yeah...figured everyone got the same one. Oh well, at least he tried.

I don't think anyone could say it better...... Dear Mr. Willmon: Thank you for contacting me regarding the confirmation of Eric Holder as Attorney General of the United States. I appreciate having the benefit of your comments on this issue. After carefully studying Mr. Holder’s record as Deputy Attorney General, I remain doubtful regarding his judgment and ability to operate independent from political influence. Additionally, I have concerns that Mr. Holder’s record demonstrated a failure to understand the profound threat posed by radical Islamic terrorism. And I remain troubled by his apparent hostility to the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. During Senate Confirmation, Mr. Holder’s answers to the questions posed by the Senate Judiciary Committee failed to alleviate my concerns. During his testimony, Mr. Holder avoided giving a full and candid account of his actions regarding former-President Clinton’s pardon of Marc Rich, the clemency offered to 16 terrorists, and other matters that gave rise to my concerns about his judgment and independence. My utmost concern, however, is that Mr. Holder fails to fully understand the unique challenges and threats posed to our country by radical Islamic terrorism. I fear that Mr. Holder is not prepared to lead the Justice Department at a moment when this nation is waging an asymmetric war whose battlefield extends across the globe and onto U.S. soil. While I was pleased that Mr. Holder testified that protecting America from attack would be his most important job as Attorney General, his public statements regarding the War on Terror often betray a willingness to advance ideological rhetoric without fully appreciating the sensitivity and complexity of a particular issue. For these reasons I opposed the confirmation of Eric Holder as Attorney General by the Senate Judiciary Committee. Although I am disappointed that on February 2, 2009, Eric Holder was confirmed by the full Senate to be Attorney General of the United States, I hope that he will study the important issues facing his Department carefully and independently, and will use power responsibly—and not simply cater to the extreme voices on the left. I appreciate the opportunity to represent Texans in the United States Senate. Thank you for taking the time to contact me. Sincerely, JOHN CORNYN

Here is a pic of my daughter and the hog we shot a week ago. My daughter, Debra Cassidy is 2.5 years old. She has gone hunting with me a few times in the past, but this time she finally got really excited about going. Her excitement really made my day. I have been waiting for that moment for 2 years now. What better way to get her into hunting than watching a corn feeder waiting on the piggies. On the way to the lease we stopped and bought her some candy and sprite to help her pass time on our hunt. Little did I know we didn't really need it. We got about two hundred yards from the feeder when I noticed the block blobs through the trees. They were there waiting for us the feeder already. We snuck up to about 75 yards and we had a clear shot at them. Me and her laid down on the ground and got ready for the shot. When they got in the opening, I didn't pull the trigger. She was having too much fun watching them and it was still early. I just picked her up and sat her on my lap. We watched them mill around for a few minutes before they finally eased off. We talked for a few minutes and the headed on to the blind (huntin' tent in her words). I could tell she was alert, but didn't really understand why: sure was funny watching her experience "that feeling". We spun out several pounds of corn and settled in for the evening. About two pink Starbursts later we caught movement to our southeast. Sure enough, the same litte group of hogs was headed back to the feeder. This time we were ready to "bring home the bacon". As they eased in, a reminded her to not talk though I don't think she needed it. She was standing up and watching them out of the biggest window in the blind. When I asked her if we should shoot one she nodded yes. When I put the gun out the window she sat down and covered her ears. We practice this every Tuesday and Thursday while watching the Outdoor Channel. One well placed .62 grain bullet from the .223 and the boar was ours. That placement was about an inch behind and below the ear and he didn't go far...another DRT. Here is a pic of my daughter and the hog we shot a week ago. What a blast...
