  1. Nice one! Now, forgive me it this sounds like a stupid question - are they good to eat? Same as a regular pig? We have only a few counties here in Michigan that allow hunts of ferals.
  2. I've dusted off the bow, literally, have both been given and bought some arrows, had it restrung, and at a loss where to start. About 8 years ago I was given a Bear Black-tail Hunter compound and never shot it. Its been over 20 yrs since I've shot a bow and I never shot a compound regularly - what is a good distance to start off at? I was given a sight for my bow, a Cobra Brite-eye (??), 5 or 6years ago and will mount it on the bow. Suggestions on sighting it in? Is there a way to eye-ball it so I'm not loosing arrows trying to sight it in? I hoping to get enough practice in to possibly hunt 2008. Not holding by breath but its a goal.

  6. Now there's one thing I've not seen dead in the middle of a Michigan road! LOL
  7. Let me know if you need my address for the invite!! LOL Let us know how it goes...
  8. I agree with Oneida... but it is still a very personal decision. If you go to a church and aren't fed spiritual then its not a place to go. I am a firm believer that a solid church teaches the Gospel without power-puffing it and doesn't try to add nor take away from what it is; it shows the heart of compassion Christ did without go so far to accept things that God rejects, etc. There are SO many things to consider but you won't know until you pick a church and attend. I want a firm handshake and a pleasent greeting when I walk in. I want to feel welcomed without feeling pressed (as in trapped). You should WANT to go back. At first may feel a bit awkward - like you're an outsider but the people ought to treat you as a friend. I'd encourage you to try it out. Get yourself into a good, fundamental, Bible teaching, God fearing church. You won't regret it.
  9. NO... Not frustrating at all!!
  10. Legs... sauteed in butter and garlic - oh yeah! OH! Pic is great also!
  11. My dad turns 63 this year and has never turkey hunted. He brought me up hunting, fishing, almost anything out doors. I'd decided to try fall turkey about 10 min after I shot my bird this spring - my first ever turkey season. So, I consider this a REAL opportunity! Man I'm excited. I've got permission to hunt a nearby farm so I shouldn't have much competition. Now, if I can just get close enough to scatter the flock and get my dad set up we'll be set! Man this is cool. I've got some scouting to do!
  12. Neat idea! I'll have to keep that one in mind for the future.
  13. Oh yeah... I've shaved my head, drank the koolaide, and got the t-shirt. You betcha. I've put his principals to work and have done very well. Still a struggle sometimes but he has a lot of truth. I highly recommend it and his book "My Total Money Makeover". Here's two of his websites: daveramsey.com mytotalmoneymakeover.com Enjoy!
  14. Looks great to me, Bill. Good work!
  15. Ticks and fleas. Nasty little critters. I get spider webs in the face all the time when I'm out cross country running - but when there's a spider suddenly scurrying across my face, well, its likely a comical sight! Bees give me the eeby-geebys for some reason - only when they're on me or real close.
  16. We'll be praying for ya, Tony. Keep us posted!
  17. Yeah... that the other option if nothing else.
  18. :eek::eek: I don't think that's a rabbit. I think you shot the neighbors German Shorthair!
  19. Can't wait to see those pics, Steve!!!
