  1. I passed a big whitetail 2 years back..I figured he was at about 50yds...I paced it off at 51 when I climbed down. Im gonna have to let this dude go too. Until I practice more at long shots anyways.
  2. I pass....Ive seen plenty of yearling does around where I hunt. Would rather wait for one of them. Them older does make good moms......
  3. Gotta wait for a better angle..good chance hes all tensed up and ready to spring at the sound of the bowstring
  4. I would have to wait and see if a better shot presented itself...maybe he would stop on the back side of that tree to a grunt or two.
  5. Im going for in the middle of the 2nd and 3rd yellow
  6. I think we may be putting a little bit too much into the whole ' they needed to know before the draft thing' ....Whether they knew or not if he was going to play in GB for the 2008 season, he aint gonna play forever...if there was a good QB available in the draft, they should have taken him with or without Brett on the roster. TT has said before, he doesnt draft based on needs or wants....he also said that they didnt even need to draft a backup for Rodgers....doesnt seem like they had much intention of drafting another QB no matter what Favre decided. Heres an interview with TT, listen or scroll down and read it...http://www.packers.com/news/releases/2008/04/21/1/ And I can guarantee you that TT did NOT want #4 as a backup. Can you imagine Packer fans in the situation that GB has a poor season or even a bad game and Favre is riding the pine....there would be chaos...hence they choose to try to pay him to stay away..
  7. Them Harleys sure are cool looking ducks!! Ive always wanted to see some of them.
  8. Gee, I was wondering why I didnt get a Christmas card from him this past year....he doesnt care about me thats why. Im done trying to explain my reasons why I dont care that he is playing for another team...
  9. I know it didnt happen that way, but I dont think it would matter if it happend that way or the way it is..people would still feel 'betrayed'...
  10. HAHA.....you make it seem like Favre is my dad and he just took the neighbor kid fishing instead of me......ITS FOOTBALL....players play for multiple teams, just because a guy plays for another team, for whatever reason, doesnt make him a jerk in my opinion.
  11. I guess I just dont see why this is a big deal....? Bear with me here, if Favre would have a been a free agent after the 2007 season and not resigned, then went to the Vikings, Bears or Lions, that would have been ok with everyone?? Some how I think we would be having this same discussion. If this was any other player in the whole NFL, with the exception of Brady or Peyton Manning...nobody would even think twice about it. Again, I dont care for the way he has gone about retiring and coming back and all that. But it doesnt bother me that he will/may be playing for the Vikes either....I think it makes for great football to watch
  12. Have we learned NOTHING from that horrible september day?? The threats are there, do something!! Time to flex the American muscles a bit.....waiting to see if they really mean it is stupid, act now and maybe they will rethink rattling this dogs cage in the future!!!
  13. Been sweating here too all week!!
  14. Im thinking yellow #3 for me.....but I do believe waiting for a better angle would be better.
  15. I dont blame him for having some sore feelings toward the management of GB. Where else have you heard of a QB taking a team to the conference championship game, and then told he will be the backup QB if he comes back next year...???? They were gonna pay him to NOT come back to the team!! That doesnt seem like a welcome mat to me..... I understand the reasons that Brett and the GB organization acted as they did. GB needed to get Rodgers playing, and Brett, Im assuming, took it kinda personal that he kinda got kicked to the curb. No one complained when Sharper and Longwell went purple simply because they were greedy and wanted more money. And I do believe that Longwell is GB's all time scoring leader...how dare he go to the Vikings!:jaw:
  16. I didnt play the first time, I must not have seen them. I would play this time around though.

    disturbing

:clap:HAHA!! thats good stuff right there!!
  18. Wow thats a tuffy...theres so many cool lookin ducks out there. My favorites are a toss up between Common Goldeneyes and Wood Ducks. With Canvasbacks and Redheads next on the list.
  19. Id like to see him come back. I like to watch him play, he still pulls of some great plays even though hes getting old. I dont agree with the way he or the Pack handled this whole situation, I think its a shame that its turning out this way.....but it would be interesting to see the look on Thompsons face if Brett would come into Lambeau and pick apart the Packs pitiful defense.....personally I think Brett could have a pretty good year in MN. Solid O line, great running back, decent recievers. The Pack is still #1 on my list, but im just sayin.......
  20. Feel free to share...:drink: I always wanted to try to make a beer or two. Luckily we have a good number of local micro breweries here so there are alot of good beers if you go to the right store.
  21. OK, I wasnt going to put my two cents in, but here goes.... To me it seems Kemp got mixed up in a situation where he was trying to help but in the end it didnt turn out.... I dont really see the 'bashing' of the LEO's. Just because he referred to them by name is not bashing. Calling them 'heartless', well if the story happened as stated they seemed to be. He never called them idiots or morons etc. And I dont blame him for getting defensive, some of the first responses were rather quick to get on his case. Im no expert on tribal laws so I wont even go into that. But I think this is just a case of someone being in the wrong place at the right time....to bad it didnt turn out well for everyone...deer included. Just my thoughts.....I dont know enough about the incident or the laws to throw a judgement of those involved out there.
  22. I put out a trail cam in different areas throughout the summer. My favorite way is to sit behind one of the farm sheds and just glass the fields...see if/where a buck is coming out and back track from there. Unfortunatly, there is a good amount of activity near/in the woods from farm practices. The does and young bucks dont mind it much, but I often dont see any good bucks until the rut. So, I usually set up a few stands to shoot a early season doe from and the rest I set up in likely rut travel routes.
