  1. No need to brag. Just speak the knowledge you have and know what you are talking about. Try not to BS to much incase they ask questions on what you are trying to BS. Thats never good when you say something, then can not explain or elaborate on it. Sell yourself by knowing what you know. That might not make sense, sorry.
  2. interviews are fun! I have been on plenty and enjoy doing them. If I could figure out a way to make money doing them I would. Just be relax, CONFIDENT, and yourself. If you go in freaking out and come out feeling like you are unsure you will get the job then you won't get it. Go in there knowing you are the one on only for this position, sell yourself, and come out knowing that you will get an offer on the job. It's easy! I also take a shot or two of jack with me to bust out during the interview.
  3. click the link, they still have a few left. I already recieved mine in mail mail. Dont know if I will ever hunt specks but if I do, I have a call now.
  4. One more vote for Mac. I have owned a PC my whole life and went to a MAC last December. The operating system is simply amazing. It took me about a week of playing on it and getting all the settings to where I wanted them for me to become comfortable with the MAC. PC is going to have to do something extremely major for me to go back. For now and well into the future I will be MAC person. It is well worth spending the extra money on one.
  5. Kyle, I will exchange with you as well as my partner Rem308(think thats spelled right). I will have no problems exchanging with two folks.

  10. The mark-up is not what you think at all. I put myself through college working at a tire and auto shop in North Carolina. On every tire we sold besides 19.5s and 22.5s our mark up was 30 bucks a tire. This included mounting and balancing and free rotations for the life of the tire. Tires are pretty much one of the most important things to spend money on, on a vehicle, beside steering components and brakes. Spending the right kind of money on tires is a wise choice if you drive anyone else around in your truck. 30 bucks a tire is not a huge mark up, now I am sure there are others that mark up less and others that mark up more, but when you look at everything 120 bucks mark up for 4 tires is pretty reasonable. There is roughly an hour of labor, lead weights, tire slim to mount the tires, old tire dissposal fee, free brake checks, and typically underhood fluid checks. Plus the shop has to pay its bills and pay its employee's. Our mark up was exactly the same for every single tire we sold. It didnt matter if it was a BFG M/T or a 30 dollar no name piece that no one has herd of. I would complain about spending money on something else, like water rather than tires. Now a stupid bottle of water is anywhere from a buck to a dollar fifty. Thats ridiculous, but it sure does taste good. Do not take this as a bashing on you post and getting upset, its more of an informative post letting you know what the mark up is and how your money is spent.
  11. a question answered pretty quickly. What is the norm on tipping outfitters for a hunt? Say a one day hunt as well as a week long hunt. If you are successful or not? I know that shouldnt matter but it might to some. if you saw a lot of game but no shots, or if you saw zero game during the hunt. Discuss.....
  12. Seriously? Next time dont waste so much time and just kill a spike in the early season.
  13. That dogs one leg looks as skinny as a turkey beard that is walking towards the camera and corn pile to eat a snack.

  20. So, last night I was riding around somewhere. I haven't been hunting all year and dont have any of my stands. But last night, I got myself a new lock-on for free!!! And with the lock on came a sweet new drip bag. I am going to be set, new lock on and new drip bag. Deer here I come!!!!
  21. Washington. Buy an out of state year License. No tag or special permits needed for bucks 3 points or better. A lot of public land to have a do it yourself hunt on. Also have the option of taking a good whitetail and possibly a spike bull elk. You could hang out with Orlan and his wife as well as me. That right there should be the deciding factor! PM WaCoyote for more info. He did pretty darn good this year. With me being out here for only the past 5 months, I have not learned everything yet but the regulations.
