Man, I wouldn't mind being in a layout blind in that field.

I could care two cents about mine or anyone else's post count. Its not my goal to increase it and to be honest I wish they would not show. It makes newbies as well as people that have been around to post random stuff to increase their count. If you really feel that I post to increase my count, step up and say exactly that. If I could do it, I would have a mod take my stupid post counter off.

Will weigh in Monday morning when I start this so called diet thing.

Why? If it bothers people, they should just not read the thread.

can you post pictures? The shaft comes with a taper from the factory by the splines where it would go from the axle tubes to the diff. Having a groove in the shaft from anything else is near impossible, that makes no sense. I have torn apart well over 1500 front axles and have never seen any get a groove that wasn't already there from the factory. Something isn't right here. I am just trying to save you money. Also, where is this leak coming from? Is it dripping out of the inner C of the axle tube? pinion seal? diff cover? Passenger side?

Sign me up, I won't be around today or tomorrow, got a date with the ducks.

Knee mail from Washington is on the way.

Why do you think you need a new shaft? The only reason to replace them is twisted splines or the ears are bent/broke when a u-joint lets go. Are you ever going to wheel this thing? If so, I would upgrade to chromoly shafts instead of buying new stock shafts.

I hope you when two boys turn into real men, you weigh 850 lbs.

Yeah, Im in. I am back up from the last time. Time to shed it again. Whats the start date? Winner gets to host a hunt of any game on their home turf for any of the losers that are willing to travel to hunt. Also, we should measure percentage of loss, not how much, to make it fair. I know for myself, I will not go get my BMI measured often, if any. I just want to drop weight.

yup, for 6 years. I had 12 hours to go to graduate in my last semester of my Senior year and I decided to change majors which set my back 2 years and lots of money. Oh well, I have 3 more months and I will have my 10 year student loan paid off in 2 years. Once this debt is gone I will have zero debt besides the house I just bought. Money has been very tight the past 6 months, but I have managed to pay off all of my debt besides the house. Hopefully, if all goes well, I will have college paid by January 1 and I can start saving all the money that I was making monthly payments on. I cant wait. oh, and I am wanting to go back to get my masters.

My 10 things 1. I cant stop thinking about duck season on Saturday. 2. I am addicted to speed; the act of going fast not the drug. 3. I take huge chances. 4. I have had three near death experiences, where I actually thought I was dead. 5. I killed a doe on Oct. 1st a couple of years ago that was already bred with defined fetus in her. 6. I have rolled in a vehicle, most likely, 10 times more times than you have speeding tickets (on an average of 3-6 tickets a person) 7. I like random trips. 8. I do really care, sometimes. 9. I have been in more states than I have not been in. 10. I miss college

Sounds like you have it under control. Just an FYI, you can pull the entire hub assembly and shaft out as one piece by taking the 3 12 point bolts inside the knuckle. Keep your steering wheel unlocked when doing this. It will save you a lot of time. Anyhow, let me know if you run into anything. Intake and exhuast - its all over rated. If you're going for power, dont waste your money. exhaust - If you're going for sound, I would run a straight pipe to a cherry bomb. I had my buggy like this and it sounded good, but then again, it sounded completely different than my buddies 4.0 that had the exact same thing. His was horrible. I also had mine dump out about where your rear wiper is attach to your gate. Remember this was on a buggy. I have no unibody, body, glass or sheet metal, all tubing. Just trying to give you an idea of the location if I still had the body on their. Intake - If you are wanting the sound, do it, if its power, dont waste your money. I did a bored out throttlebody with a trottlebody rotation cut on the inside with a K&N intake. If you do this, you will have to pull out the heat pad on the inside of the hood. Once this is out it will still hit the hood but it works. The sound you get it really pretty cool, but you will not notice any power nor MPG increase. I drove the piss out of my XJ from day one, so my MPG was not to good anyways. The only real way you will see any power increase out of the 4.0 is to do a stroker. Once down, its a pretty slick motor with plenty of power.

I would say form a shot. The deer was directly under a stand. Hunter shot and missed to the left causing the broadhead to 'unzip' the skin. I have seen, on two different accounts, of that happening. I am not sure what in the woods would create such a clean cut. If it was a gore from an antler or a snag on a fence, the skin would be ripped, this looks like a perfectly clean cut.

I have a lot of experience in some side by sides. The razor is a lot of fun but not good for hunting. The rhino is good but had issues getting places with it. The best I have seen and experienced is the Artic Cat prowler. After many test drives and wheeling adventures my father purchased one. It is a great machine. Good wheel travel, good belly height, suspension has great range of motion and front and rear lockers make getting place very nice. Having a rock crawling background I tested this thing to the max. Have climbed some insane stuff, side hills very well, and have not rolled it even though I have been very close. I like to play hard. The down side, its loud in the cab. The motor is mounted high in the belly like a humvee so you can hear it in the cab. Surprisingly, outside of the vehicle its insanely quiet. I can not hear dad untill he is well within sight. It also has a nice deep bed and with the front rack you can easily carry 3 deer and two climbing stands. If I was going to purchase one for myself i would get the razor because I would use it a lot in the off season for trail rides, racing and sand dunes. But if I was getting a strickly hunting machine, it would be the Artic Cat no questions asked. Here is a pic of dads, all decked out.

Can not wait for Saturday morning to get here. Friday mid day we are headed North. Going up to the Canada border, jumping in a boat and running 5 miles up river to 'the island'. We will be setting up camp sleeping in the blind and rolling over at sun up for the duck opener. Temps will be in the upper 20s so it will be a cold night, but oh so worth it. They have been scouting and seeing mallards, teal, wigeon, pintails, gadwalls and Canadas. I am pumped.
