Here here well said. I think another example of how dangerous political correctness is becoming.

Wisconsin voters have finally thrown out our anti gun politicians in the state capital and a few in Washington. I have high hopes that we will now finally join our brothers and sisters around the country and exercise our 2nd amendment right to carry a concealed firearm. :toot:

I would leave a note with all the bottles that said. "One bottle has been poisened here and in every other drop site. It's up to you to guess which one." It's more fun to mess with their minds plus then if you miss some areas they will never know for sure if you have been there. Plus I'm sure I don't have to tell you this but be careful when messing with these people. They have no fear of our law enfforcement agancies. Make sure you are well armed and careful at these sights. Booby traps are always a possibility.

Mossebergs make good qaulity reasonably priced shotguns. The reason they cost less is that they use alloy instead of steel in their receivers. This leads to cost savings for several different reasons. The only time the alloy receiver is a problem is if you are a trap shooter and will be putting hundreds of rounds a week through the gun. The normal person using a mossberg for hunting will never wear one out.

OMG someone has finally listened to me. I feel like I was a voice shouting in the wilderness. You are obviously a brilliant man with excellent taste in firearms maddhunter. You have given my life new meaning. Those thousands of rounds, hundreds of guns and hundreds of hours at the range, woods and in the class room have not been a waste of time after all. Actually my friends ask me for advice all the time but this has been the first time anyone has listened on here. I was just about to give up. :gun2:

You guys need to get out more. There are model rocket clubs all over the country that fly their toys all the time. Some of these model rockets are large enough to reach geo syncronise orbit if it were not for goverment regulations that prevent it. My guess is it was a model rocketeer showing his stuff. The reason nothing showed up on radar is that these models are almost all fiberglass wood and soild fuels. Nothing there to produce an image large enough to be picked up on radar.

If you want a 45 nothing better than the old 1911A1. There are about a dozen companies that make versions. You are bound to find one in your price range and one that is simple or has all the bells and whistles you want. Para Ordance even makes one with a double stack magazine. If the 1911 isn't to your liking the next best thing would be the Springfield XD. As far as laser grips go Crimson trace is the industry leader for a reason. #2 isn't even close.

Thank you Shawn you were the only one that passed the test. You are truely a nice caring person.

Don't believe everything you hear from the liberal media or on the internet. Remington has excellent customer service department and they stand behind every product they make. If you send in a gun that has a problem, they will fix it. If it is a problem you are responsible for they will charge you but they will fix it. Don't form an opinion of the Greatest gun company in America bases on hearsay evidence. Take the time to form your own opinions. :gun2:

If I can have two barrels I'll take my 20 Gauge Remington 870 combo. Another choice would be the Savage 24 with a 22lr barrel ontop and a 20 gauge barrel on the bottom. :gun2:

I'm headed to Minnesota tomorrow to hunt opening of their rifle season coming up saturday. Does anyone care. I wouldn't if I was you. :chat: :gun2:

Ducks, Don't find anything interesting in sitting in a cold blind to shoot a bird that tastes like fish. Doesn't seem like much of a challenge either. Anyone that can shoot and sit can hunt ducks. Might just as well shoot a round of skeet. With upland birds you are at least out there walking around and it takes a lot more skill on the part of the dog than just fetch and retrieve. I know a lot of you enjoy it. I just don't get it. :gun2:

You have obviously never tried talking with a gun company before. They will never admit to anything that might be a defect in their product over the phone or in an e-mail. If you want to spend months getting the problem looked at, they will have you send it in and they will fix the problem, if there is one. If you don't have time to wait a good gunsmith is the way to go. I personnaly know as much as most gunsmiths and thought someone on here might actually be interested in some helpful advice. :gun2:

I'd like to see Ruger bring back the 77RSI in 250 Savage. I'd like to see anyone come out with a bolt action rifle in .284 Win. I'd like to see the Savage 99 back in just about any caliber. .243 or 250 Savage would be first choices. Even better would be to see Winchester come back with the model 88 in just about any caliber. .243 or 250 Savage would again be first choice. :gun2:

According to Remingtons figures there are 5 million Remington 700's out there. 11 of them are in my gun safe. Plus another 8 or 9 that have come and gone. I have bought some new some used. I can tell you exactly what the problem with them is. The 700 has the best factory trigger of any rifle on the market. What makes it such a good trigger is that it can easily be adjusted by anyone THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. The problem comes in when knuckle dragging know it alls try adjusting the trigger themselves. Then as soon as something goes wrong they run to the phone book and find the first ambulance chasing lawyer they can find. I bought a used 700 that someone had turned the trigger down to release at 8 oz's. In what world does a person live that he thinks an 8 oz trigger on a hunting rifle is a good idea. 10 minutes, a screw driver and a tube of loktite had the trigger back at to a nice clean crisp 3 lbs. :gun2:

If the bolt was not down completly or fully engaged it is possible that when the sear was released it caused an increase in the lock time. Which means that the firing pin spring wound have been moving slower causing the light hit. Go to the range and see if you can recreate the situation by not having the bolt all the way down. You must be extremely careful when doing this because if the rifle fires with out the bolt being fully engaged it could cause an unsafe condition. I would keep my face as far away from the action as possible when testing this. Shot it from the hip or better yet would be to tye the gun down and fire it with a string on the trigger. If the gun does not fire with the bolt up like you describe, return the gun to the manufacturer as this is obviously a dangerous condition and will only get worse with time.

I have a plaque hanging above my work bench that says "People that think they know it all really piss off those of us that do." :gun2:

I agree 100%. I teach Highschool bible study at our local church and the group of kids I teach are an Awesome group of young adults. People have been complaining about the wasted youth since the times of Plato. However, the fact that we have elected a dim wit like Obama does seem to indicate this country is headed in the wrong direction. Hopefully his total failure to accomplish anything will stop the Liberals attempts of trying to prove we are all the same.

In Wisconsin you have to take the deer to be registered. This can sometimes take hours depending on where you hunt. Leaving the guts in that long can taint the meat. Plus if you take the deer to a meat locker to be processed they won't take it if hasn't been field dressed. :gun2:

1. I'm obsessed with guns. I have over 80 and spend almost every minute of everyday reading, reloading for, working on, thinking about or talking about them. 2. I am the unluckiest hunter in the world. I have to hunt twice as long to kill half as much as anyone else. 3. I love my dog more than anythiing. 4. I am a former Army Officer Airborne Ranger. 5. I have a BS and an MS and I work a job that doesn't even require a highschool diploma. It does allow me to hunt and fish alot. 6. It is my goal to visit all of the lower 48 states. All 50 would be nice but I don't think that will happen. I have visited 36 states and 9 foreign counties. 7. I collect T-shirts of places I've been. I have over 300. 8. I'm afraid of snakes and heights. (Airborne Ranger??????????) 9. Never met a woman I didn't Love. 10. Wisconsin Badgers and Greenbay Packers are the two Greatest football teams in the world. (Golfers should not be allowed to post here.) :gun2:
