  1. I have shot almost every bow on the Market to include hoyts carbon matrix and I still say that the Iceman I bought in feb ranks in the top three, 1. Omen 2. Z7 3. Iceman 4. Truth II
  2. Congrats, those handwarmers definitely will make your day. .
  3. Congrats, you are right what a great christmas present. Enjoy.
  4. I have extensiv time with the 338 win mag, 300 roy, 300 win. Never really gone bigger, I mean have put 4 or 5 boxes through a 375 H&H but wouldn't call it extensive. Shot at 500 Nitro express about 10 times. I liked it hit hard on both ends. On of the farms we used to to some work on the farmer would let us shoot skunks with that and the 375. What about the 375 Ruger then?
  5. So I missed christmas on here, and wanted to wish everyone a belated merry christmas and a safe happy new year. Oh this was the first christmas I have spent a holiday away from my family but spent it with my great girlfriend and her family.
  6. Well I am 6'4 280 pounds so the recoil part of it I am not really worried about. I am more worried about the cost to shoot that cannon. I can or my dad can reload so thats not the thing its more of powder capacity and a rifle to handle that.
  7. Put some loc tite on the bases and rings you can change if need be but will hold them tight. As far as a 500 yard shot on a deer, if it is within your ability, and you feel comfortable taking it then I have no problem with it.
  8. My 7mm rem savage will print key hole groups at 100 yards, and shoot Less than moa at 300. The 7mm if you can hold steady will drop deer well past 300. Shot one in 2005 that was lasered at a hair over 500, just flattened it. Both shoulders pass through with a 140 grain sierra bullet.
  9. MY 450 brand new I paid 600 for it, pistol grip take down lt wt. Shoots like a dream.
  10. So my dad has a line on a savage for 300 brand new guy is afraid of it. How does is it shoot? as far as a caliber I mean. I know the savage gun is a shooter. It would be used for elk and whitetail. what range would it be effective out to on elk?
  11. I have been comparing prices to shooting, I can reload if need be and I see if you want reload a roy your talking a little more money but the power is pay off
  12. Hey I am big fan of when I shoot something it is gutted and deboned and ready for the freezer by the time I get there. Meaning bigger heavier, harder hitting is just fine. I am looking not for just deer but also anything that walks the North American Continent.
  13. I like that what about the 340 weatherby or the 338 ultra?
  14. Any ideas, I am thinking over 500 yards. Enough power to put a whitetail on the ground.
  15. Could look at the 870 410. I like my NEF a blast to shoot
  16. Nice guys, that does explain alot of things , I'm with everyone else, San Fran?

    2009 sucks

Sorry to hear that man. Prayers on the way. Just remember, If he leads you to it, he will lead you through it.
  19. THE SEC WON"T Play Boise State
  20. I would go with the 870 express. I shoot for everything, used to use it for deer before rifles were legal. Shoot three inch number 3's for geese and ducks, 2 3/4 number 6 or 7's for pheasan. and Light trap loads for it. You can get a decelerator pad and a mercury shock tube to put in the stock to reduce felt recoil for trap if need be.
  21. I have one in 450 marlin, for such a big cartridge it really shoots. Trigger could be better but you can have that worked on. Thats the only down fall to it. I call mine thor because when it hits something it just drops. Enjoy it man, looking at getting one in 300 wsm myself.
