Well I guess I am against the norm, we practice every day weather permitting to 80 yards. Comfortable on a deer to 50-55 depending on a number of variables. Can shoot 6 inch groups at 70 and 80 so, would I ever shoot a deer that far... Not in a million years, would I shoot an elk to 60 every day of the week.

So I posted this on another forums, and I will post it here also. I am looking for a name for our 3-d team. Now none of us our professionals and all of us are either service members or spouses to we are looking to get a name together. Girlfriends dad has a screen printer and embroidery set up so we can make our own shirts. any Ideas?

I already have the square, serving jig, levels, center shot, and that stuff. Also so all my and friends custom arrows. So I guess I need to get a press and stuff like that.

If you can only carry a handgun then by all means look at the Ruger Alaskan. I do know that the big 500 smith is another one.

We stayed at the Circle K ranch but hunted by ourselves. Weather was very warm for the 3 rd rifle season.

So everyone we went to the San Juan this year really didn't get into to many elk. We are looking for a bowhunt out there this year, anyone have any ideas on a good spot that doesn't get a massive amount of hunting?

So everyone I am thinking about getting into tuning and setting up my own bows, I just don't know where to start as far as tools and equipment go any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you want a true long range performer and a 22 cal you have to either go with the 220 or the 22-250. As far as 308 goes you can get a 260 rem for long range. Just got one last year and haven't really shot it that much but dad just bought one in the ar platform and loves it.

325 WSM hard hitting and flat shooting. Shot a whitetail in NY saturday with it at just over 290 yards, went down like a mack truck ran it over. As far as the rifle goes, it would have to be a semi custom gun, and you can't go wrong for that price tag.

My girlfriend shoots my 300 WSM no problems, its all consistent with loads, rifle weight and design of stock. The 270 is a great cartridge and you can't go wrong with it though.

3.5 high 120's low 130's

Paul Smiths is still there.. They do allow guns on campus I believe but they don't have the range in the gym anymore. I guess the liberals have won somethings over.

Never been a fan of a 243 you get the same amount of kick out a bigger gun like 7-08 or the 308 and be alot better off if a less than desirable shot is made.

I agree, I have met Sen. Young and have shot at her trap shoot for a few years. Dad said this year she is set to not let this pass. Hopefully it works.
