  1. What did you use in your mix?; I've been using Lucky Buck lately but it's getting to be too much money.
  2. Back legs up; much easier when you skin them. We've done it both ways but had cats or something eat part of the back legs overnight when we hung it the other way (head up).

    Score

Nice bird; season starts Monday here. Can't wait
  4. Can't wait to get out and find some; woke up this morning to 3" of snow on the ground. Looks like it's still going to be awhile
  5. I have not used the two blades but I've shot 5 deer with the three blades over the last two years and they are awesome; the entry and exit holes are amazing. None of the deer went more than 50 yards and one was shot right thru the shoulder and clean out the other side. I was a little worried about the two blades not being as durable if you hit bone; but like I said I haven't tried them. Give them a try; you won't regret it.
  6. I also have the black ice. Best bow I've ever had.

    Vehicle Payment

If you lose your job and have to collect unemployment will you still be able to make all of your payments. If not then it's proably too much. That's my feeling
  8. I'll give this a try; thanks for the help
  9. I would like to get into nightime coyote/fox hunting; but I am having trouble finding a good headlight. We are only allowed to use shotguns or rimfire rifles in the area's I will be hunting, and I am planning on using a 12ga. with buckshot. I have a spotlight with a red lense but I am planning on hunting by myself so this won't work. I have found several headlights but I can't seem to find one with a red lense that is reasonably priced. I have thought about putting a scope on my shotgun and using one of those scope mounted lights. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
  10. I like the rattle bags better. They are much easier to carry with you than real antlers and they require less movement to use than real antlers.
  11. There is a main artery that runs through the hind quarter; if you hit it you would know. I shot a doe one time and my arrow hit a branch that I didn't see. My arrow hit her right in the back leg. It made me sick watching her run off with an arrow sticking out of her leg. She ran about 40 yards and tipped over; I couldn't believe it. If he hit it in the back leg and it went 500 yards you probably won't find it. However you owe it to the deer to keep looking, don't give up until your absolutely sure that you won't find it. Especially if he is not positive this is where he hit it. Good Luck
  12. What type of camera is that. Those are nice looking pictures

    does and rut

I always try to take a doe or two early on in the season. I won't shoot one after mid october, this is when you want them around you. I don't want to spook all the deer of our land when I'm tracking or dragging out a doe.
  15. 11 years; I've got 10 bucks and three does. Biggest was an 8 point 120"
  16. You'll find him; it happens to all of us every once in awhile. Good Luck
  17. Do they look something like this? I think I may have the same problem
  18. I don't use climbers very often but I run the rope through the chamber; this way the barrel is always pointing at the ground. Leave the rope about 4' above the ground and your gun will never touch the ground. Lower it really slow so it's not banging up against the tree.
  19. did you know it was a button buck?
  20. Both brow tines looked like they were broken off. His left G2 was also busted but it grew back, must have happened early this spring/summer.
