I bought this house 2 years ago, home warranty replaced the hot water heater, air conditioner, repaired the fridge and dishwasher. I had the basement waterproofed recently and added a wall between my dining room and the basement steps. Also, had the floor reinforced under my bedroom which was an addition that the old owner put on. Last week I killed 2 mice, have not killed any more since then but I keep finding small amounts of mouse poop, I am guessing that it was from before I started catching them otherwise would have either caught more or found more poop in the same spots that I have already cleaned up. feel a little better now after the rant! the mice were just the icing on the cake!

I will not hang out with people that are full of it or themselves. I will call it like it see it but I had one guy you would have to call out every day at work and finally I just started ignoring him all together.

Been using the red mineral/salt block from tractor supply under my trail cam this year. The big 8 pointer I have pics of in the photo room loves the salt block. I have 30'ish pics of him licking it. Does anyone use them during the winter? I hear they do not use minerals during the winter, is this true?

Spend the money for a quality harness, your life is worth the investment. Stupid me tried to adjust the cable on my summit viper a few seasons back about 10 feet off of the ground and the bottom fell out from under me. Luckily it was tied on and i was able to get it back up and locked in while sitting on the upper section. The only thing that kept me grounded was knowing that if I fell I was strapped in. I learned my lesson and will climb all of the way back down if I ever have that problem again!

I will try to shoot a doe right out of the gate if I can. The farmer likes us to take out pretty many does every year. I would like to shoot 2 does and then hold out for that buck. During the peak of the rut I try not to shoot any does but if it is a slow day I may take a doe out and tag her and go back up my stand.

Hoosier, do you mind me asking which one you bought? Was it the one from code blue? If so, I will look forward to hearing how it works this year!

sounds good. I was looking at the electronic dispensers but they were either really expensive or had bad reviews.

What dispenser do you use? I was reading a great article on it but they did not get very specific on what they used, only tactics.

When I used to hunt a 12 acre plot in an urban area I put out corn otherwise we never had many deer on the property. Now last year I put out 2 corn feeders on a large farm that grows beans and the deer ate up the corn but they never came looking for it and would walk by it at will without stopping. I have mineral blocks out on the farm this year for trail cams and it seems to help but most likely will not use any corn this year.

That will be a nice area, lots of deer. Wait, on second thought, forget it and give me the name of the person who is letting you hunt, Ohio does not have any deer at all! no deer, no one should come to Ohio to hunt, ever!

Have seen a few in my day, 2 last year that never offered a shot. 4 years ago I shot at a monster 10 point with all kinds of stickers and a drop tine. It was head on with a shotgun and he jumped like I hit him in the heart. After he ran off I found some shaved hair and a broken branch sticking up out of the ground.

A guy on the same farm shot a ten point last year that was around 160'', it almost makes me want to let this guy go if i see him but i know 4 other guys on the farm that would shoot him. There deer have tons of beans and corn to eat, they grow some big deer.
