Went out saturday and called a nice looking 8pt to within 50 yards but he avoided the opening in from of my like his life depended on it!!! I found out the guy that stole my camera card also helped himself to my other camera card as well. This means it was a hunter on the farm for sure as my cameras are in woods on each side of a road. I saw a pic of an old wide 8pt he shot on the farm and didnt tell anyone (someone found it on facebook and sent the pic to the family). I reported this theft to the owners wife and am going to let them deal with it. Hopefully that was the last straw and this guy is gone. My buddy is going to speak with his aunt about it as well as he is the one related to the owners.

Hey guys. sorry i have been away all week. nothing going on last weekend. it is nice this week but supposed to cloud up this weekend. i will be out on saturday for sure. i am also taking off next friday to spend the day out in the woods.

Weather here this morning is rain. Yesterday a medium 8pt walked down my dads driveway right in front of us. Im going out for a few hours in the morning as ling as this rain stops.

I went out saturday and nothing was moving. Also, someone took the memory card out of one of my cams. Two guys know where it is and now one of them is hunting by it.

I took my exgirlfriends brother out for youth gun and he bagged his first deer. I have never seen someone so excited in my life.

I have pics on my infrareds of deer with their faces up against the camera. I also have seen the two biggest bucks on the property posing for multiple shots.

I woke up this morning and the wind was howling. I decided it was better to not go than having my scent swirling all over.

I will stop when my body says it is time to stop. Hopefully not for another 35+ years.

Tied up again saturday with family and it is supposed to rain sunday. I will be out unless it is pouring.

I have shot 100gr thunderheads out of mine for years and they fly fine but I'm only shooting around 260fps. To let it down i shoot an old target arrow into the ground once i am out of the woods or wait until i get home and shoot a target from about 5 feet. Hope this helps some.

Not a thing moving this morning. It sprinkled all morning. I heard one grunt a few times but that was it.

Practice, know your personal limitations, and shoot a big one!

I have shot 2 deer i can remember that didnt leave much of a blood trail. One was a muzzy and no blood trail but she fell in sight. The other a thunderhead and the shot was high. It can happen with any of them. I use thunderheads, spitfires, and killzones.

Horton said send the bow back and they will fix free of charge.... we will see how long this take and how good of a job they do. Until then I have the old reliable bow ready to go. Quality products have gone down the drain!

Forgot to mention that it was 65 degrees out.

Full moon last night and i saw one LITTLE doe at about 70 yards.

I was shooting my crossbow today and the dang trigger cracked off. We will see how horton handles this on monday. Luckily my old horton that has to be 15 years old is shooting straight.

He will still be around. Im happy for him as long as he doesn't start doing vegas shows like garth.
