They showed a Mule Deer hunt, he made a shot on a buck and he had to do a follow up shot after the first one. What was odd was when he went to lay down to make the second shot he looked like he ran 10 ft away from two muley does. These two does just stood there and looked at him, didn't even seem to be scared. I've seen where there was a lot of mule deer in fields on other hunting shows but on this show they looked like they were 60 or so in one show. It also was weird that the deer immediately jumped a fence after the first shot was taken and laid down... The hunt was odd to say the least. I hope it wasn't high fenced area. What really through me off was when he ran by those two does and he looked like he could of reached out and touched them.

Bucks are still moving here, seen quite a few still cruising. Seen a 3.5 year old buck walking across a old corn field that now is a mustard seed infestation. He was trotting with his nose on the ground, looked like a bird dog following a pheasant...

This friend of mine texted me this picture, this buck was aged at 6.5 years old, and weighed in 260lbs field dressed. My friend owns 300 acres in southern Indiana's coal mine country... He was hunting 40 yards from this buck's bedroom, rattled a little and snort wheezed twice, ten minutes later he came in running. Smoked him with a grim reaper through the lungs.... I was wondering what he would score....http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg69/FastFeetHounds/glomskisbuck.png

I've always liked watching this show, last nights show really got me. Matt Duff passing on nice 3.5 year old bucks. Not producing a kill cause he didn't get a crack at the buck he was chasing. I like that its not all about a kill with these guys. I also like while they are hunting, they step away and talk what they are doing and why, during the hunt. Best hunting show in my opinion.

That's why we hunt, for moments like that.

I agree Damon.

While in the stand this buck has passed me on different occasions, it seemed to me that he has the potential to go huge next year. Hope he makes it. I'm guessing 2 1/2 year old-3 years. I like to hope his rack will get go wider and add more mass....

Gotta spend my money before she takes it all lol..

I just bought the Hoyt Maxxis but I want a back up bow. So I think the Hoyt will be the back up. I gonna look at the whole bear archery line up.

Love that show. I like when they take the time to talk what they are doing during the hunt. Plus I am a huge baseball fan and bowhunter.

The more cams I put out the fewer deer I see. I am just gonna wait and see what walks by my stand.

Thanks guys. It blew my mind when I saw the price tag as well.... I love rabbit hunting over my dogs and prefer it over deer hunting but I do miss the string music. Gonna bowhunt until gun season is over in Indiana. After that its rabbit hunting til February. Happy Hunting!!

I'd suggest the mission ballistic, new in my area is $425.00

Real impressed with this bow, I think it was in the Hoyt line up last fall. Well the local pro shop had one hanging where most of the discontinued bows are made. I shot it when they came out last year, but didn't have much time to hunt back then. Getting married next November and moving to our family farm is giving me more of a chance to hunt. Will be only a walk across the road to the main farm, 4,000 acre river bottom... The bow shot and felt awesome. Plus it was only $400.00 Btw, shot the Strother Line up and both were awesome!!!

Like the new Rush XT specs and liking the new Realtree AP Black. The bow looks sharp. http://strotherarchery.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=218&Itemid=222

Well since Indiana has been the Sahara desert, I have decided to stay indoors. But I did manage to put out a new camera. I put down a mineral powder that I have had great success with. Rack up by Evolved Habitat. A lot of deer the last few years have tore into our mineral sites after going to this product. With the rain we got today I am sure that the minerals was soaked into the ground. Getting all the pieces together...

I was walking around in a Wal Mart store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back. The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old... The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll...' Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?'' The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.'' Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly. The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand... Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. 'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas. She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.' I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry. But he replied to me sadly. 'No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.' His eyes were so sad while saying this... 'My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.'' My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said: 'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.' Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me.' 'I love my mommy and I wish she didn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.' Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly. I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll!'' OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money... The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!' Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me!'' 'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much... But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.'' 'My mommy loves white roses.' A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket. I finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy? Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away. I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest. I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed forever... The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.. Now you have 2 choices: 1) Send this message to others, or 2) Ignore it as if it never touched your heart. The quote of the month is by Jay Leno: 'With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to the other, and with the threat of swine flu and terrorist attacks, 'Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?' For those who prefer to think that God is not watching over us delete this, for the others... pass it on! God Bless!!! Dear God: The person reading this is beautiful and strong. Help them live their life to the fullest. Please promote them and cause them to excel above their expectations. Help them shine in the darkest places where it is impossible to love. Protect them at all times, lift them up when they need you the most, and let them know when they walk with you, they will always be safe. Now you're on the clock.

Just a little camera shy though. He's a nice clean eight. We hung stands today, will be putting out a couple blinds in the next few weeks. Hopefully this bad boy comes by us so we can get a better look at him.... http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg69/FastFeetHounds/cuddeback023.jpg?t=1313377516

I just set up a Moultrie trial camera on a fence post, where a bean field in located. There used to be a gate there, but not anymore. Just a wide open area now for easier access for the farmers to cut the beans later this fall. I have noticed a big trail going to the beans from where some of the food plots are located....could this be known as a pinch point, the wide open place where the gate used to be...... If not, please give me a example of a pinch point??
