That is funny Griz because we have pet goats on our farm and we were going to video one tied to the truck with a rocking chair on top but Randy was running late as usual and we didn't get to do it! I said that Randy and dad will look more out of place in California than SNOOP DOG at a Farm Aid concert!

That is FUNNY Joe!!

Steve, It all depends on each individual coin as to its value. Big Randy used to be a coin dealer when he was in his early 20's. It depends on the year and condition of the coin, where it was minted, like D for denver etc. One coin maybe worth only the value of silver and another could be worth hundreds or more. I would try to find a local coin dealer and discuss it with him. Don't settle for first offer. Always get a second opinion when selling silver or gold. It was nice talking with you today. I can help you look some info for you if needed. Some info: When They Ended and What They're Worth In the early 1960's, the silver supply for the nation's coinage was dwindling rapidly. As Congress and the Administration debated over silver's future role in coinage, the silver market jumped 10% immediately, and another 30% by 1962. This set the stage for the complete elimination of silver from our coinage by the end of 1964. Any United States dime, quarter, half dollar or dollar that is dated 1964 or earlier is made of 90% silver. In the dime series, all coins dated 1965 or later are clad coins and contain no silver at all. Quarters dated 1965 or later are all copper-nickel clad coins except for the dual-dated Bicentennial Quarters that were sold by the Mint in special Mint Sets and Proof Sets. These quarters contain 40% fine silver and have an "S" mint mark. They are different from the Bicentennial quarters you can find in circulation and were sold by the Mint at a premium to collectors. In the Kennedy Half Dollar series, the 1964 of course is 90% silver. Halves dated 1965 through 1970 contain 40% silver. Halves dated 1971 or later are copper-nickel clad coins with the exception again of the special Bicentennial halves sold in the Mint Sets and Proof Sets with the "S" mint mark, which are 40% silver. Among Eisenhower dollars, coins dated from 1971 through 1974 with the S mintmark are 40% silver. In addition, the special Bicentennial Sets contained 40% silver coins. All other Eisenhower dollars are copper-nickel clad coins. The value of these modern coins is tied directly to the price of silver.

Yes, It is a long drive but a dealer in Katy ,TX. (Randy meet him at a show he did in there in July) has made Randy an offer for a new truck that is several thousand dollars less than our local dealer. It will be worth the trip if nothing else happens! It is 940 miles from home one way! -
Randy was between Atoka and Durant and had a blowout and he said that he felt it. Maybe that is what we tell the auto club. The earthquake caused the blowout!
-
Randy called me earlier and told me he had a blowout on his big Excursion! He asked me to call the auto club. I had to give them a location and Randy said he was on 1-69 south between Atoka and Durant. After 2 hours of getting roadside assistance , tires are huge. They are headed to some town in OK. to get it aligned with the spare tire. He is headed to Katy,TX. to look and possibly buy a new truck. I said I heard about an earthquake in OK. and he said yes they had felt it. So, I guess Randy being in town really SHOOK things up!! I hope he can make the rest of the trip without any problems!

Ben, We live on the family farm that had the well witched by my husbands late Uncle many many years ago. The well is so deep, we can accidentally leave the garden hose on all night, while doing laundry, showers, etc. without losing any pressure. Our family believes in the well witching. Good luck! Darla

Leo, The whole Oitker family wishes you the best. Have a safe trip and i hope you fill your trophy room!! Don't lose your camera!! Darla

I wanted to let everyone know that Steve and Rilda are doing fine . They live in a small community on Prince of Wales Island in a town called Coffman Cove. He is putting siding on the house now. He says to say hello to everyone and to let you know that he will be leaving Alaska on Sept.15 and should arrive home on Sept. 20. The internet is only at the library and only 12 at a time can use it . He said the locals usually control it so I am passing his wishes on to all. Here is his landline phone number if anyone would like to call him . 907-329-2335. No cell phone service there. The best time to call him is about 9:30pm central time. He was really happy to talk. We need to fill him on some things he has missed. I am going to be calling him back in few days. if you want me pass a message on to him please post it here and i will read it to him. He really misses everyone. Thanks, Darla

Good Luck Joe! Randy was called to be on the first show but due to shows already booked during their filming times he had to decline. Randy had the contract and was ready to sign it but when he saw the filming dates he told them he couldn't cancel his shows. Joe will not be able to tell us if he won a spot on the show. The contract says if chosen he can not tell anyone or it is a one million dollar fine. He will not be able to do interviews or any media with out permission from the producer. It is a very Hollywood contract. Randy is now a regular on Impossible Shots TV ,things happen for a reason!
