Great Pic. Chris! Randy has never been to a prom, he was home schooled because of his travels and missed out on many high school activities. Hope that you had a good time!

  7. I want to thank everyone for all of the Birthday wishes, I truly appreciate it. On my birthday, we were very busy on the farm. We had 2 new calves born and very busy catching up. It was the first weekend since Jan. that Randy and dad have been home so that was good! Today my daughter and I spent the day shopping for new clothes! That is always fun! Yes, Tink i am still 29! Thanks again, Darla

    Hey Buckee

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE from the entire OITKER family! You also share a birthday with Leonerd Nimoy ( Spock) from Star Trek!! Our family is a bunch of Trekkies!! :happybday::happybday::happybday::happybday:
  10. It was 62 yesterday and it is 30 now with snow, ice and sleet coming down. It is awful! Spring did not happen here for sure! The ground is so soaked that the fields are full of large puddles of water from all of the snow, rain etc. that we have had.
  11. While those remedies might work, I do not know of any men that I know who would put rose water in a bath, they all shower and I don't think that they would bath in tomato juice unless they were sprayed by a skunk! My husband who is Randy's camera man is a smoker and he has always been smoking a cigarette when Randy shoots an animal. Randy shot his first bear(age 14) when dad had just lit a cigarette. Jerry Martin from Bass pro smokes also and he told my husband just play the wind, a little Kentucky windage he called it! Randy has also never hunted without wearing a Scentlok base layers or a whole scentlok suit. He takes scent free showers and using scent free deodorant. He does not eat Doritios the whole whitetail hunting season either. Randy and dad only eat meat and bread, no condiments or vegetables at all! Most hunters on this forum just use baking soda for everything, while some use odor eliminating products and cover scents. Whatever works for you is what is best and what works for some might not work for others. Good Luck this season!
  12. Our whole family saw Larry a few years ago in St. Louis at the Fox theater. My daughter was 11 years old, he wasn't as off color then as he is now. But he is very funny and well worth the money.

  15. Hey Joe, Great Pics.! How did Abi's show and tell go? Did she take the T-shirt with Randy on it? Randy just got those shirts the day before the show opened. Randy will be trying out the new Randy red wine soon! He hasn't had a lot of free time. He will be off after this week for turkey hunting! Randy said that you had a nice family. Take care, Darla
  16. Thanks Buckee for uploading the video. I don't have a clue how to do that! Our family is happy to be friends with GW,Joe, Buckee and so many other forum members. For some reason, most promoters will say Randy is a trick shooter even though we tell them he is a precision shooter. I am glad he got to meet some of you in person. Randy is on his way to Cleveland,Ohio . Show today at 2:30!
  17. Dakota, Prayers sent from the Oitker family to yours for this difficult time for you and your family.
  18. I received this in an e-mail yesterday from Michael's producer. Wanted to make you aware of a unique and one of a kind auction. We are Auctioning off Michael Waddell's turkey hunting vest of 10 years, the only one he used, from the first Road Trip show, all the way to the 2nd season of Bone Collector. When we found out that Michael had given up his Turkey Vest for Mitch's cause we were really floored. We weren't so much surprised that Michael had given something for the auction, we were just very taken back that he would give away something that has been a part of so many stories. Michael is a very sentimental person when it comes to his Turkey Gear!!! The next thoughts that ran through our minds were all of the memories that we have had filming turkeys over the past ten years with Michael, all of which was he wore this vest. This vest has witnessed the death of HUNDREDS of turkeys. Mitch Ensor who was diagnosed with ALS,(Lou Gehrig's Disease) has come to be a great friend to all of us here at the Bone Collector office. We are really excited at the opportunity for this vest to be auctioned for such a great cause, Mitch Ensor's Hunt for a Cure. Please check out the link and spread the word about this unique auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160412756178#ht_720wt_1167[/font] Link to Mitch's Blog:http://mitchgohunt.blogspot.com/ 100 % sale of this vest goes to the Mitch Ensor's Hunt for a Cure - Non Profit 501CE supported through the ALS association of Kentucky.
  19. Randy is looking forward to meeting some of his long time forum friends. If Randy is talking to someone after or before his shows, you just have to yell at him and interrupt or he won't stop talking!! Just say hey it is (your name or forum name) from the forums then he will stop!! My husband and Randy have the great gift of Gab and will talk your leg off! Randy likes to talk with everyone and tries to answer as many questions as people ask. He doesn't have a bodyguard either to stop you from talking with him!! Here is his schedule for this weekend and I hope that everyone has a good time. FRIDAY - 2PM, 4PM & 6PM SATURDAY - 11:30AM, 2:30PM & 5:30PM SUNDAY – 11:30AM, 1:30PM & 3:30PM
  20. A Muzzy drop Away rest is the best out there. Randy has used it for 6 years and never has had a problem. it is a total drop away rest. Your arrow will never fall off either. Randy proves that by laying down and shooting it. You can use any vanes or no vanes because there is no arrow to arrow rest contact at all. Check out his video clips on www.randyoitker.com
  21. Glad to hear Cash is doing better. Still saying prayers for his continued improvement.
  22. Ruth, if the tooth is not bothering you, I would wait until I got my insurance through your new job. I agree with Steve B. you only have these teeth and you should keep them if possible. I have had several root canels over the years and laughing gas makes it great but a shot works also! They are expensive but having good insurance makes it worth the wait. When a tooth is pulled, the others will eventually slide over and make all of your teeth out of line. Try to keep the tooth if possible.
  23. Randy is on his way to Erie,PA. tonight for the www.sportandtravelexpo.com . He will be performing at all of these expos over the next 3 weekends. He hopes that some members will be able to attend. He has been so busy on the farm and traveling he hasn't had time for much else.he will be driving 13 hours straight through, interview on radio in morning and perform 3 shows! Here is is his show schedule for Erie,PA.: RANDY OITKER ARCHERY DEMOS FRIDAY - 2PM, 4PM & 6PM SATURDAY - 11:30AM, 2:30PM & 5:30PM SUNDAY – 11:30AM, 1:30PM & 3:30PM
  24. The least expensive way would be to buy a sheet of Camoclad. You can get it in all Realtree, and other brands of camo colors , ebay maybe is the cheapest or go to their website. Camoclad sticks to anything and comes off when you want without messing up wood, paint or any surface you put it on. I have Realtree camoclad on my kitchen windowsills, they wipe clean quickly.
  25. Farming does have its rewards, when you hold a new baby calf or baby goat but what I hate is having to work hard 12 to 16 hours a day whether you are sick, rain, sleet, snow, ice. There is no excuse to stay in on a bad day, no day off, no vacation, no calling in sick.Someone has to be home almost 24/7. We are not rich. We do live on the family farm but we started out with one cow 20 years ago and we now have 150. It is a lot of hard work for very little money. I wish that we got when we sell a cow what beef sold for at the stores! The whole family works hard together to make it all successful. I was a city kid and like living in the country but like I said it is the HARD work that is not fun at all. I have worked a desk job before and I got off at 5pm, on a farm there is no getting off at 5pm . You might have a cow out or a fence down, hay to haul, things you just can't imagine happen and needs taken care of at all times of the day. I envy our friends who get off at certain time and can go home at a certain time and eat a certain time. Sometimes I have dinner ready at 8pm and sometimes they don't get to eat until 10pm or 11pm. Then they start at daylight and do it all over again! I am up this time of night checking every 3 hours on a cow who might have a calf it is so cold if she has it and doesn't get it cleaned off quick enough it will freeze to death. I have towels ready to help.I set my alarm for every 3 hours.
