  1. :sleep1::sleep1::sleep1: I was gonna try my hand at being a writer at one point but I had too many pictures that said things better than I could put to print. Wanted to be a guide as well to get payed to do what I love. At the end of the day sharing the outdoors with others around me was payment enough. My research project on natures critters native to the area has been ongoing for about 20+ years now. I try not to force feed anyone the information gained in that time unless asked upon. Basically TR, as I've seen you do over and over again on other forums, quit preaching the gospel(your book), and get involved in a few threads that you didn't start on topics you claim to know so much about. We are not little birds here that need this regurgitated information stuffed down our beaks untill all we know to chirp is the TR way. Rest assured there are many here that will listen closer to hands on trial and error experience afield through discussion over something they read in a dang book by a self proclaimed proffesor of the wild. I said that not you, only because that's the way you come across. We'll all be STUDENTS of the wild till the day we die never understanding it all completely. Best we can hope for is to be the best STEWARDS of the lands as we possably can so next time you find yourself gazing out that window at that lonely doe, realize that there are many of us out there who do the same... just never felt the need to make a mountain out of a mole hill in the middle of June. You need to extend your research bro. 10 yrs aint squat when it comes to general observations.Let me tell you something. I've been to a shrink a few times and gathered a lot of valuable information from them BUT, when I got home I was still a stinky plumber. Chew on that!
  2. Crap... off to ruttinbuck for his effort along with the $30. I tried for ya brotha. Gotta little something else headed your way as well.! Maybe my bad for starting the bid too high to those who can't appreciate the sound of the custum call offered. Really thought they would sell, or at least raise the eyebrow of a few of the regulars here. Chit it ain't for me...... bidless non regretable, check them out for yourself, you wont be dissapointed

Seeing the title of this post is WHY..... ?? Why kill it Coles?:helpsmilie:
  6. I worked for a collision shop off the books sanding cars. Some weeks it payed off.., others not. Since then the shop closed down when he ran out of "green" and beer money to pay his employees. I could'a did better work myself with a can of Rustoliom spray paint and a paintbrush. DON'T FALL INTO THAT TRAP! After that at 18 I got a job in the meat department at "Tops" supermarkets cleaning up after the butchers and picking up a few helpfull hints that would prove to be usefull later in life when my ambitions changed. Mowed my share of lawns, cleaned many a pool and...well I'll spare ya the rest of the story.:bat:That should sum it up.
  7. Yep, you got that right- but you forgot to tell him about the worst nights:wacko:!

    WHY???????

Nice Hognose redneck!:ninja: Here's the other milksnake I caught today. Docile little fella once he got to know me, but before then he gave me the tail rattle when provoked! Pretty cool the way they try to trick us! This one would have made a super match to my top limb but I'll just wait to pick up a roadkill. Cell phone pics sorry.

    WHY???????

 Almost forgot the belly shot of the watersnake..... Went over to MIL's this morning to confirm her e-mailed pic. Turns out they didn't mutilate the milk so I'll be skinning that for my upper recurve limb.:cool2: While there I found another milk I had to catch to show them they meant no harm. Waiting for the pic's to arrive- just re- located that fella for them!

LOL, sorry boss I'll keep that in mind next time.
  12. Eastern milk snake. Totally harmless but some aggresive looking postures when threatened.
  13. Never seen that. Maybe he poked his head out of his hole to soon this spring and got his pudgy body stuck there when one of them freak snowstorms blew through. Frostbite, lol.
  14. Great looking pooch! You will both be happier for it;)
  15. ....a mouse in the house or a snake in the grass?:surrender::surrender::surrender: some folks just don't get it:hammer2: My MIL and 4 of her neighbors armed with shovels and brooms had a garden party yesterday they felt compelled to share a pic of their harvest with me.:nono:
  16. Good times fly! Heck of a vessel for 150, I like it. It's nice them little lakes set aside for good family fun without having to deal with all the high power traffic.
  17. Timmy Ho's is an addictive way to start the day....you know what they say, lol:laser:
  18. AWESOME bro....., simply AWESOME!! To the proud momma too, way to hang in there! It's a beautiful thang. Hope all goes well for you both from here on out.
  19. To me this was a fantastic idea from the start so here's what I got to bring to the table. Wish I could do more. Fisrtly the 3 pack of H.S. Strut strikers bought at seasons start here and only used twice this season. The Cross cutt, The Master carbon and my personal favorite The Rosewood. Secondly as seen in the pics is a Quaker Boy Game Calls Magic Touch slate pot. It's a super beginners call that is easy to learn on as well as being extra soft and seductive when you want to tone things down a bit. Soft clucks, purrs and yelps are effortless on it with any of the wooden strikers. Lastly, and by far one of my absolute favorite of all times to take to the turkey woods is my aluminum pot by Enticer calls out of Rome PA. "John Hancocked" by Al Holbert the producer himself, this call has been my go to mo jo for dang near 6 years now. It's by far one of the best alluminum pots the birds in my woods have listened to over the years. I promise any bids on this call alone will not be dissatisfied with the sounds it's able to produce. Take a look and if you have any questions be sure to let me know and I'll do my best to help answer them. I'd like to start the bids myself at $30.00
  20. Congratulations Jen and Kyle!!!! Now take your time to recover fully and both of you rest up before you bring Baby Cash home! Awesome news that all is well, I know how complications go. Congrats again!!
  21. No doubt you seen a super show. Kenny's one of the best performers ever in country circles. seen him twice and would do it again next chance I get.
