  1. 7mm Ultra would roll em' up! haha But since its bow, and the woman is a fussing, a shot in the 2nd red dot down from the top would work pretty good!
  2. My buddy shot a doe last year with a rage 3-blade, passed through but when he found the arrow and a weak blood trail, none of the blades had opend, Tracked the deer for atleast a mile he said but lost the trail and never found her. Could have just been a simple flaw. I've heard good about the Rage 2-blades though. I like my fixed blades, no need to worry if they'll open or not, But it's just an opinion.
  3. That's awesome and one heck of a shot
  4. wow, thats awesome! I thought about buying a barrel to go on mine but they're a little expensive but mainly because they didn't have the caliber I wanted.
  5. I was working with a mountain cur but I do not know if he was hard headed or what but if a trail was less than 15 minutes old he wouldn't hit it, He makes a great farm dog though. Protects the chickens like a pro..haha
  6. The next climber stand I buy 12-point will most defiantly be a Summit Viper! They're pretty nice, What kind of Summit do you own?
  7. Thanks Strut10, I'm a little bit away from Marion but not to far, I live in Gate City which is in Scott County. Ever been around there? And yehh I love how the land lays around but can be a pain sometimes..haha
  8. Sounds great, Doing alot of scouting or setting up stands, or just a little bit of everything?
  9. I have heard good about the G5's but my muzzy's shoot good with my bow and I use the practice blades for sighting in and practice, I have only shot a couple deer with the muzzys but all were complete pass throughs and the deer went less than 60 yards
  10. Very Nice looking mount!!! Great job!
  11. I saw a decent looking buck last week, large long body and antlers looked to be starting to curve out but he took off to fast to get a good look at his antlers. In your pic, give it a couple years and that'll be a good buck!
  12. Would be nice but Lee is a big boy :crutch:
  13. What redkneck said, Waddell seems to be a good down to earth person with a good head on his shoulder, and on top of that...He's one heck of a great hunter. Would love to hunt them Kansas white-tails with him.
  14. Thats awesome, Do you know what bloodlines they're out of or are they just and good ol' fashion coon hounds?
  15. What kind of stands do ya'll use to get the birds eye on some deer or whatever the game is you persue? Me and my brother split the money on a tree lounge(its the new lighter weight kind) but of course we have to split the stand, We also have numerouse shooting houses and ladder stands out throughout the woods and field edges with 1-2 hang on stands. Nothing can beat how comfortable that tree lounge is though.
  16. If it was a "Hunt of a LIFETIME" I would probally let it walk, But if it was in the woods around the house I'd be aimin for the 2nd yellow one down from the top and let the Muzzy 3-blade do it's job.
  17. I'm sure of it, It patterns like my rifles..lol What has been your longest shot 12-point with the pro hunter?
  18. haha...got mine from a good friend for $175.
  19. When would it be to late to start planting your plots? I have all the material needed to fence because I work on a farm and help out alot around here. But the reason I ask is I still have about 6 1/2 weeks that I cannot be working to much or lifting heavy objects and bending over alot because of the compression fracture in my back. Docs told me if I keep working hard and puttin stress on it to where it cannot heal they will have to do surgey and put cement between my vertabrey to straightin myself back out and I really don't want that..haha
  20. I really wish Virginia would have passed the Sunday hunting, Most of the time school gets in my way and weekends are my main hunting time and wow, Saturday is all I get for enjoying the great sport of hunting unless it's Thanksgiving break or Christmas break. I mean really, You could skip early service at church to go hunting and still have late service and evening service to go. You could also skip the morning hunt and go to church and skip evening service at church to go hunting.(That's how church is around here, early service, late service, then evening service) It's a free choice of what you want to do.
  21. On the powerline cuts I can shoot as far as my gun will go cause I have permission to all that land and on them field pics I have permission in the field and all that pasture land to the right of it, But on that holler deal I can only hunt it 'till I get about 3/4 way to the bottom then it goes to this jealouse, hateful mans land that lets nobody but himself hunt there. I do not know about any acreage as I'm not good at estimating that. You can see in my topo map the powerline cuttings, it is about 1inch above the rear end of my furhest right green line, that straight cut out, Just incase that may have been of any interest.
  22. My cousin uses a "Jack in the Box" thing, Which is no more than a clump of fur on a small intena that wags back and forth while the caller plays a distress. I would imagine what your talking about would work to the same level.
  23. Thems some great lookin bows everybody!
