Bret, everytime we talk about this, it makes me think more about how stupid they are. They cant even call themselves hunters. It just frusterates me so much to know that there is people like that out there. And they will never learn. They are doing it to a couple other local hunters, Im not sure how much they have done it to them but either way, its stupid! I just cant get it thruth me head how stupid you actually have to be, to do something like that!

Tough call. I like deer hunting bigger but with a buck that big I think I would wait for bigger so I think id that the bear

Some relatives came down and showed us a hunting dvd that they made and thought it was awesome and I would like to do that. Have any of you ever made one?if so what program do u use? Carson

Im just gonna say my opinion. This is a hunting forum, I come on here to hear others hunting storys and to share hunting stories. Just me opinion. Oh ya and if I ever need quad help I will ask Shaun.

Thanks guys. Its just the worst feeling. I would have rather missed then what happened. It just bothers me that I made that shot when I past on a shot like that last year, although that was a doe last year. I just gotta learn to control buck fever.

:(A few nights me and my dad went to sit in the blind for abit. I have been getting trail cam pics of a 140 buck with a split browtine and a kicker. Well when we were sitting in the blind, that buck walked in, and buck fever hit me, i grabbed my bow and knocked an arrow, I drew back and he was quartering towards me a bit and I shouldnt have tooken the shot but unfortunetly I did. I hit him way too far back and, we left him till the next day to go look. That night, I couldnt sleep at all. Bret(sureshot) is a great guy, he took off work to come help me look for this deer, I learned alot from him. We never did find the buck. We were seeing blood and thought we would find him but then we stopped seeing blood, Bret said he must have blood clotted and is healing. He thinks he is still alive. And If so, he will be non-typical next year and will be awesome. But I cant stop replaying the shot in my head and thinking how stupid I am for taking that shot. How many of you has this happened too?

We couldnt find him. Me, my mom & dad, my friend(wildguy) and a great guy that most of you know(sureshot) all went looking for it, we couldnt find him and Bret thinks he might be still alive. We started seen good blood but not for long, he stopped bleeding and bret said he must have got a blood clott. Im still SSSOOOO frusterated that we couldnt find him but I did learn alot today, Bret is a great guy, he took off work to come help me look for it and he taught be alot tonight. I hope I can start gettin some points for us soon though.

Well im kinda frustrated. I went to the blind last night and we checked the trail cams and put out some bait. We were makin alot of noise and only planned on sittin for half hour. I was just showin my dad some picws from my SLR, and I turned over and there was a big buck at 20 yards walkin in. I slowly put my camera away and the deer lifted its head and was looking right at me, so I slowly grabbed my bow, knocked an arrow and tried ranging him but was too shaky and couldnt find him in the rangefinder so i thought and went with 20 yards, it was a buck I have had lots of trail cam pics of, hes a 140 with a split browtine and a kicker. I drew back but it was quartering towards me a little but I didnt think that much so I shot, and I was perfect up and down so it was 20 yards but I hit it in the guts. I got good penatration but after it ran about 50 yards, it was lookin in rough shape, it was tippy a bit and really struggling to run, the arrow was starting to dangle out. He ran down into thick brush and I hear runnin then it stopped so I really hope he bedded down in there. We are gonna go look for him after school. I wont be able to get much done at school, I feel sick knowing what happened, I have a headache and couldnt sleep. If he ran into the field we are screwed. But with the way he was running I doubt he would run up a big hill to go inot the field. and plus I dont think he would go into the open. It is supposed to rain today and if it does I wont be able to get down that backroad to go look for him and it will wash away the blood. With the way he was running I dont think he was gonna go far. Im just so worried. Please wish me luck. I hope I come back with my whitetail tag filled.

Well this weekend I have still been tryin after muleys and havent been successful. But today we were walking back to the truck and we spotted a little spiker so we all got down. We decided to make a stalk incase anything else was with him. So we would go a few yards at a time. And then stop for a few mins and so on. So I was sittin and decided to poke up and look to see how close I was, and there was a bigger buck that had stoof up, he was only about 130 but I would have took him.So I kept doing the same thing and when I got up to look I couldnt see them So I knew they had either moved towards the fence line or they headed back south a bit in the cooly. So I kept walkin slowly and stayin low and was gonna see what I could see when I got to the edge of the cooly. All of a sudden I spoted antlers behind a few trees. I thought to myself "perfect!", all I have to do is come up over the hill towards the bush and sit and wait for him to head towards the fince and I would hvae a shot. So I did that and came up over and a spiker was right there but I couldnt see the buck. so I got low and set my bow down and the buck stepped out so I ranged him at 16 yards, I grabbed my bow and they started trottin away and jumped the fence and stood at 80 yards, and they knew I was there, so it was over. I set my bow down and threw my hat on the ground then an even bigger buck jumped up and started runnin away, he was about a 160. But on that stalk i dont know what I could have done different too make it work. I wish I at least knew so that I know what to do for next time. We have spent alot of timie out there and me or brandon still havent got anything, not even a doe. I dont know what we are doing wrong but we gotta keep tryin and do somethin different until we connect I guess. Carson
