Good post I was curious myslef . . . The rut usually is in full swing first two weeks of Nov. Bucks usually are on the move and on there feet from about halloween on through the second week in Nov. I thought about trying this product. Hope to see some posts soon.
I'm still using them don't see a reason to change they have done the job for me. I think they just aren't spending the marketing dollars like others have said.
Good work. Nothing like stalking a whitetail down, it's not an easy task but when it happens it's a GREAT feeling. Glad you found the deer in the rain. Sounds like an exciting hunt man.
Pull an arrow from your quiver and adjust the settings on the metal detector to pick up your insert and broadhead. I've found a few in long grass with one, but it was a cheaper metal detector it wasn't easy but it did work.
PA is getting blasted with that wind all day today and through the night. Looking forward to hunting tomorrow. Bucks are starting to make lots of scrapes had three new ones show up around my stand yesterday and lots of rubs as well. Haven't seen any shooters yet but after the wind pinning them down all day and through the night maybe tomorrow will be the lucky day!
I here you, there are always a few misshaps through out the season. Just be thankful it wasn't a shooter buck that walked by your tree with your bow on the ground!
Sounds like you need to spend a little bit more time practicing three shots high @ 20yds! not good. You would feel even worse if it would have been a monster and you shot high.
I shot a doe severe quarting away. It opened her hole side up I could put my fist in the enterance hole. Sorry no pics of it. It wasn't pretty though . . . at least for the deer!
I'm glad you recovered it. It wasn't that long ago if you were using any other broadhead in my opinion that would have been a lost deer. The Rage really do some destruction when they hit an aminal.
I've had similar stories in Mi. There is just so many hunters. Most of which are weekend warriors and they will fling a slug at anything with horns no matter how far. I watched a guy shoot a buck in front of me that had one horn that might have went 3 inches thats it.
Wow what a rack gotta love those non-typicals! Glad you found it sorry about the meat. I would just be releaved you got the antlers and can get some sleep!
Everyone ever have any problems with black bears while hunting? I know obviously don't get between mama and her cubs. I waved my arms and said shoo scram get out of here bear. He was just curious and looked at me like I was wasting my time trying to get him out of my hunting spot haha. He ended up coming back that night this time in front of my stand.
