i shoot the traditional ones for three years now. i have killed numerous deer with them and have never had one open in flight. i read the package for the crossbow heads and it gives no reasoning why they are any diffrent. i personally feel it is just a marketing stunt to sell more heads to the exploding crossbow population. most modern compound bows shoot just as fast if not faster than crossbows.

couldnt agree more. as far as weather and conditions in relationship with time of pics it really doesnt matter for me. im only going to get to hunt on the weekends regaurdless of conditions. with that said i love the dedication you have to do that. most people arround here think im crazy for spending the time and energy i do on deer hunting. it is nice to see others as addicted as i am.

what would you recomend for a 55lb boy shooting a 50 cal inline ml. all shots will be under 30 yds.

shoot the exact same load also oil mine. granted mine is 5 or 6 years old now. cant beat the accuracy. i would still buy a cva but i would opt for a model with a better barrel.

tried many diffrent slugs but in my opinion hornadys are the best. 2'' high at 50 yrds is zeroed at 150yds.

man ben that is a stud. not very good at scoring so im not even going to guess. i wouldnt be able to sleep either. good luck buddy. i hope to see pics of the mount.

i had problems with fixed blade accuracy but that dont mean you will. i shoot the rage now and they are exactly the same as the field points.

i will do 40 yrds at a broadside relaxed deer.

ohio does not offer an online course. call 1800wildlife to find a course near us. last year they had a course at ponderosa in calcutta. if he already missed all the local courses he can still get an apprentice license. go to the ohio dnr site for info.

i bought a cva wolf. gun shoots great. as far as the blued barrel goes i hate it. i take really good care of it but it still rust and pitted. also the stock continually comes loose and has to be retightened. granted the gun was extremely cheap but i would opt for the stainless barrel.

i bought a shooters choice scope. it is a cheaper scope($60). the eye relief is fine. the only beef i have is it isnt great in low light but i expected that for the price. dont get me wrong its usable at low light just not great. i shoot 100gr.rage.

got my ten point titan sighted in with my hunting arrows(easton carbon power with lighted nocs). shooting rage two blade broadheads. this year i switched from a red dot to a scope. i like it alot more in the backyard but cant wait to see how i like it in the field. also purchased a midland action cam. hopefully i can share some footage with everyone this year.
