  1. I was out Wednesday evening hunting a cut bean field and had 4 deer, 3 for sure were bucks in front of me but the never got any closer than about 80 yards. I was still hunting the field edge so I might try again another day and relocate a little closer to where they went into the bush.
  2. The group I'm going with heads north of Wawa.
  3. Congratulations on the doe. I went out for the opener on monday and seen some does and heard a buck snorting and stomping, but no shots.
  4. Looks great. Congratulations on finishing your project.
  5. Was out today shooting and was dead on at 100 but too high (8") at 200. Going to take some more practice but I feel more comfortable every time out.
  6. Been shooting lots and am feeling good. Bow season starts monday and I'm going to be in a tree:D
  7. Wouldn't be a bear, we don't have any here.
  8. That's cool Shawn. I played some SR against Chris Neil's brothers and then met up with them and their Dad at a union tournament a few years ago. Their a pretty cool bunch of guys.
  9. Trever try checking out a 'stangs game, most are ex players from the OHL getting their education and being alittle older, bigger, and faster makes for some entertaining hockey.
  10. I went out this morning to check my camera and when I got there it was missing. My first thought was obviously that it had been stolen (even though I'm the only one with permission for this bush). After a quick walk around to make sure my stand was still there and for whatever else I thought I might find. I found it on the ground taking pictures of the tree tops. Still thinking it was an attempted theft I picked it up and came home. When I checked it out closer at home I noticed the buckle looked like it had been chewed on and there are about 15 pics of this before it was dropped about 40' down the trail from where I left it.Seeing as the pics of it being moved are from midnight I doubt it was a person. Raccoon maybe?Anyone else had this happen to them?
  11. I work with a guy that had the same problem as you and he switched the bases front for rear and his problem was solved. Apparently the set he had, had a front and a rear. I don't know if this is common or not
  12. I've not tried serious coyote hunting yet but plan on doing some this winter, and also appreciate the tips. I bought a Savage Axis .223 and have had no problems with it. It's an entry level gun, but I'm an entry level shooter and budget it key for me. I know you can get it in a 22-250 too.
  13. Congratulations! Sound like a great time.
  14. You're probably right, looks like a Blue Jay now that you say that. Good luck this year
  15. Bowhunter97 - the bird picture is cool. Any idea what kind it is?
  16. Called the MNR after work and they can issue me a new one at a service desk if I go in with my confermation numbers. They lady on the phone was super helpfull and said it was likely 'cause my address changed between ordering and them mailing them out.
  17. I bought an additional doe tag for bow in my area and it hasn't came in the mail yet. Has anyone got theirs? Or is too early for me to worry yet? Thanks
  18. Nice job, congratulations to your brother

    Headed Home...

That's great news! All the best in a speedy recovery!
  20. I just got a '06 Honda Foreman, and love it. I did alot of research and asked questions and decided on a fixed rear axel shaft driven machine because I plan on "working" with it. However it is a little stiffer ride than one with independant suspension. But no belt to worry about slipping or CV joints or boots to wear on when pulling stuff with it.
  21. http://www.realtree.com/forums/deer-hunting/109718-some-trail-camera-pics.html Here's a link to a thread I put up in the DEER room os some pics I got yesterday. I can't wait for the season to start. godd luck to all.
  22. Went and checked my camera yesterday and have pictures of a doe with twin fawns, another pair of does and theses three boys. If you look close you can see my stand in the upper right corner.Having not shot a deer yet I'm pummped for Oct. 1st. Im fairly sure the smallest one is the same deer I missed last year.
