I use 3 bushnell trophy cams year round and have not had any cold weather problems. Battery life has been great on all three, usually changing them about every 3-6 months depending on temps. The only exception is that we dont have near the cold weather here in OK that a lot of you guys up north do......

We are headed up west of enid...... we used to hunt up on the cimarron, but are changing to a new spot this year.....

I used a Mossberg maverick for 10 yrs with no problems as long as it was clean!!! It is very cheap, but definitely took a beating and kept on shooting.

I put a redfield on mine after the guy at bass pro recommended it.... reasonable price and good clarity... I didnt get a shot at a deer this year but was impressed when I sighted it in...

Record highs in OK didnt help out!! No deer movement yesterday morning, but fortunately we had a few does come in late in the evening and harvested a nice one! Hope if gets cold soon, all the deer I have dealt with this year still have a lot of ticks on them!

What new do-dads did you buy for this season?

This was the first season for my new Blackpowder (gift from my wife!!!) and new remington 700 270.... a little pricey, but I was very happy with the performance from both. Other than that, I tried to use all the gear from previous hunts. -

I dont know about the chocolate covered sausage, but having a wife that is a great cook is a good problem to have! I am fortunate to have the same problem. haha

I have been lucky so far this season, not only to take a great buck for myself, but to have the oppurtunity to help my nephew get his first buck.
