  1. I bought some of the No Plow this year and will be testing it in sandy soil in OK. I will let you know if it works out!
  2. Thanks for posting the progress on your place! It is always nice to learn from someone who is close to home!
  3. I use Trophy Rocks and have had pretty good luck with repeat visitors even when the rocks have dissolved..... they end up pawing the ground and leaving small depressions over time. Have not tried the biologic, but deer cain does have good drawing power.
  4. JT Anderson OKstate 30 Oklahoma Oct. 1 - Jan. 15
  5. I was saving to buy a new bow, but my wife surprised me last week with the one I have been looking at!!! So I guess I get to go pick out a new item on the wish list!
  6. That's impressive! I haven't seen many reproductions, but from the pictures posted I would say you did a good job.
  7. Dr. Woods on GrowingDeer.tv had good things to say and I was impressed with the comparison he did between the usual load and the new stuff!!
  8. I agree, I am also planning on putting some seed in the ground this weekend in hopes of catching the Sunday storms!
  9. That's impressive! Congrats!
  10. Hope the short blast of winter doesn't have any effect on all your hard work! I definitely wasn't expecting to get snow in mid April here in OK!
  11. Those are nice bucks! If I can get my pictures uploaded I will try and add to the list.
  12. That's definitely a rare tenant to have. Hope he sticks around!!
  13. Looks like a lot of hard work that will pay off in the near future!
  14. I haven't been out as much as I usually would be, but so far every hunt has been encouraging. typically where I hunt the does have been coming out about an hour before the sun sets and the bucks have been coming out about 5 minutes after legal time is up. I am hoping this winter storm helps get them moving a little earlier!
  15. If you only have a short window, I would set up on the green patch next to the cut field and just make sure you are aware of the wind direction.
  16. Congrats! That's a nice buck.
  17. Still a lot of sparring here also. Hopefully I get to witness a big boy fight, that sounds pretty awesome!
  18. If you have the time, there are a lot of great instructional videos that will help you understand how whitetails function.... I follow Dr. Grant Woods on Growingdeer.tv (this is the website address) and he seems to provide pretty solid advice. You might give that a try.
  19. Congrats! Hopefully you can pin point the big boys early!
  20. Congrats! That's a great way to come back!
  21. Glad to hear you guys are starting to see some action! Sorry for my absence over the past couple weeks.... my son was born on Oct. 15th and it has been a pretty hectic start to the 2013 season. I am still planning on making it to the stand several times during rifle season, but my bow season has pretty much been eliminated. Good luck to all and hopefully later in November I can help add to the point total!!
  22. I haven't been on stand in the last week, but the last round of pics from the cameras, showed several different bucks harassing the does around the feeders. I noticed several small scrapes along the tree lines and a couple decent rub lines starting to form. I mostly hunt in central OK.
  23. Good video, especially for youngsters or beginners. I will be sharing this with some of the kids I take hunting!
  24. I agree with what most have said.... I would focus more on pressure than number of stands. If you can hang several and have access without alerting the deer, I would say go for it. If you are spooking the deer when you enter or leave, I would consider not using or removing those stands, especially on smaller tracts of land.
  25. Congrats! That's a good lookin' buck!
