Nice Buck! Congrats!

I love everything about the fall except the time change!

I had a nice 8pt bumping some does around the wheat field on Saturday evening... they weren't have anything to do with it, but it was nice to see a little bigger buck starting to move around, he was just a little to young. I think we are getting pretty close here in OK.

Yeah, that snake has been around for a while. This is only the second year we have started seeing rattlers on our place.... before that we never had any issues. I finally made it to the stand over the past couple days, but the action was really slow and the only movement I saw, was a small buck at first light and a doe that snuck up behind me and didn't stick around for very long. There is supposed to be some cooler weather headed this way, so hopefully it will get the bigger boys up and about. Good luck to everyone else!

I always take a least a couple shots before the season opens.... you never know what might have changed!!! And like many have said above, I would hate to miss just because I didn't want to waste a bullet to check.

I finally had a chance to get in a stand and unfortunately didn't have an opportunity to let any arrows fly. I did get a nice wake up call when I was headed into the barn to get the ATV. Hopefully you guys don't run in to any of these fellows in the woods!!!

Wouldn't mind seeing something like that walk by this weekend!

I have had a slow drip for several months now and a friend told me to add a conditioner to the oil and it might soften the seals and stop the leak. I am no mechanic and wanted to know if anyone had any advice or new a product that might work. I drive a 2008 Chevy Silverado with 150k miles.

You may want to try reducing the lbs your pulling until you get comfortable holding on the target. Once you get used to holding steady and your stamina is improved you can start working back to the full weight of the bow..... just my opinion. Other than that, it sounds like everyone is suggesting practice, practice, practice.

It seems like they usually start rubbing here in the first couple weeks of September, but usually I will see a few of the younger deer clean before the bigger bucks.

I was checking my trail cam photos yesterday and noticed that one of the older bucks on our place has already shed all of his velvet. Has anyone else started seeing "hard" antlers yet? I am hunting central Oklahoma.
