    July 4th plans????

Re: July 4th plans???? We're combining the 4th of July and our 20th wedding anniversary in a hotel on the beach in Myrtle Beach, SC for 4 nights. We're going to the Dixie Stampede, NASCAR Speedpark, and my full cooler of beer!

  6. I don't know about y'all, but it seems lately the rebate program has gone like this: - ad says buy this and get a big rebate - I buy it - the item is almost free - send in rebate form -get card saying we can not honor the rebate for some bs reason like: "sorry, UPC is incorrect" even though you send in the only upc on the box. - you call their 1-800 number - They say: "oh, ok we'll validate that for you now and you'll recieve the check in 4-6 weeks". Sometimes I think they just press-to-test and see if you really want it. I 've had this at Pep Boys, Office Depot and Best Buy lately. Anyone else? I just wished to heck they gave the rebate at checkout.
  7. Re: The Bible- Fiction or Non-fiction? carbon hunter, How dare you try to post facts. SHAME ON YOU!
  8. Re: Farthest shot [ QUOTE ] whats the farthest shot you will take with your bow, i have taken a 50 yard shot before, i missed barely right under neither the front leg... [/ QUOTE ] I've nailed a deer at 50, 42, 38 and closer yds before. I only take the longer shots if I can zap it with the laser rangefinder and if there is no wind and the animal is calm. More misses have probably happened within 20 yds.

    Oh No not this.

Re: Oh No not this. I had it bad too. I struggled and tried blind bale, no sight, hold and let down, etc, etc, etc. The only thing that cured it was using back tension. It removed that want to hammer the trigger.
  10. Re: More JR/RCR Talk I've been watching Jr this year and observing and listening to the "family squabbles". I think he'll be driving for RCR in a year or two. Whether he drives the Black #3 is to be seen. But anything less will be a shame. I'll accept him as a driver for the #3. Nobody else is qualified. I predict he'll drive the #3 within a few years and bring back the magic. I hope like ****. I want to see it (Black #3) back on the track with an Earnahrdt.
  11. Re: Annex this... COOL!
  12. Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? I'm one of those kids that probably ate lead paint, rode in the back of a truck, didn't wear seat belts, etc, etc..........................and no I don't wear gloves. Been fine for over 41 years!
  13. Re: Gordon\'s Confession [ QUOTE ] What kind of wuss comes out with a wine? [/ QUOTE ] Uh, Richard Childress.
  14. Re: tony wins another!!! I'm just glad FOX is done with the coverage. "The crew" likes to talk more about stats and what happened weeks ago instead of covering the race. I would have liked Rudd to win, but TS was better today. For a road course, it seemed better this time.

    releases

    Re: releases Carter.
  16. Re: Any back tension users out there? When you are at full draw, visualize holding an egg between the shoulder blades. Try blind bale or taking off the sight at close range and at full draw, try holding the egg until the bow goes off. Don't think how the release will be tripped, don't think about the bow going off, or the muscles being used. Just simulate holding the egg until the bow goes off. Trust it and be patient. It's okay to let down and do over. Also, make sure your draw length is correct. Many folks are overdrawn. If you aren't sure, try shortening the draw a 1/4" at a time until you feel like it's too short and then back off in 1/8" until you find the sweet-spot.
  17. Re: Tom Cruise is a Freak! I've read a few articles where the healthiest people are the ones who experience viruses, etc. Your body will build a defense to alot of things when it's confronted with it first. Just like people in 3rd worlds do not get sick to some waters, but if we drank it, we'd get really sick. Again, nature has a cycle. We just need to pay attention.

    Eminent Domain

Re: Eminent Domain We need to worry more about China and India buying America instead of the govts eminent domain. I don't like the trend that's happening there.
  19. Re: Preferred Archery Supplier [ QUOTE ] Lancaster Supply or Archery Talk.. [/ QUOTE ] And e-bay!
  20. Re: Your religion and WHY That's okay preacher. I think you talk out of both sides of your mouth mentioning eternal life and life is short literally in the same breath. But that's okay!

    ILL. non res permit

Re: ILL. non res permit I'm glad I finally found out that anyone stationed anywhere with an active duty military ID is an IL resident. But since I start terminal leave in Oct. for 2 1/2 months, there's a small part of me that doesn't want to get hired until Dec!

    Top 5

Re: Top 5 Here's my input: Read straightshooters post.
  23. Re: Your religion and WHY TSBH, I find it amusing when I hear "christians" say "God will provide". But you never hear them say "unless it's your time to go". What you mentioned, people dying from earthquakes, natural tragedies, etc, isn't in a religion. It's a matter of the wrong place at the wrong time, and they were the unlucky ones. You see it in nature all the time.
  24. Re: Christians and Bible Scholars...Deism Challenge! Dang slug. We see eye-to-eye on something!
  25. Re: Your religion and WHY That's not the point doc. Believe and live eternal life. Eternal life of what? Haaa. Weak humans will grab on to anything if the mind believes in it enough. Look at nature and the answers are there. Simple stuff. Don't humanize it (to me that relates to Buckee's "imagination" term he used in another post) and you will learn.
