Re: Stablizer The weight helps absorb some shock and balance the top heaviness of the sight, quiver, etc. I suggest getting one rubber coated so it wont make noise if you hit the treestand.

You may go low, high, or 12" to the left with a broadhead. It depends on how it's tuned.

Re: Asking to hunt property? A farmer that lives next to me CAME to me. But then I talked to him many times before (being neighborly), and found out they don't let people hunt around the house. So I never asked. Then one day, he stopped by and said he had land leased a mile away and will let me hunt with bow-only. He knew I was a bowhunter and saw me shooting all the time. It probably helped that I saw him putting up some hay in May by himself, and I stopped by and starting loading bales onto the trailer w/o being asked. The moral of the story is: don't wait to start contacts just before hunting season, (although sometimes you can't help it) and don't expect something in return. Sooner or later, you'll be rewarded. He took me on the land awhile back to show me the boundarys. It's a small patch surrounded by meadows and houses. But we jumped two bucks that day and I saw two does a week later. That area hasn't been hunted in years.

Re: how old where you when... I was 10 and shot a spike with a .270. I didn't prop myself right while leaning against a tree on a hill and it rolled me! My granddad was laughing his head off! Put a nice hole in the neck and dropped it. Thank goodness, because that's not where I was aiming........

Re: 650 fps bow??? I don't believe it. But on the underhand, with that speed, could you imagine a rebar (like a 2219) at 400 fps? Slap a 5" broadhead on the end of that baby and there wouldn't be a bloodtrail!

Re: How Much $$$ For 3-D Range??????? We don't have any ranges around here, just when the archery club holds a shoot. And the cost is usually $15 or $25 for the family. Cubs are free. They do offer a non-trophy (for fun) cost at $8. That's what I usually do.
