    New mount

Looks good Joe. Congrats again to Sarah.
  2. Nice pic Tim. Hope everyone had a good one.
  3. Have an uncle who is retired that is doing an AK brown or grizzly bear hunt this summer. No clue what it is costing him, but looking forward to hearing back from my aunt about their trip.
  4. Looks like his last activity here was March of 2017. Hope all is well with Bob and his bear hunt went well.
  5. Is that the same unit you usually hunt? Good luck this year Corey.
  6. Spring? It is summer weather here. Got 2 gly res soybean plots in over this past weekend ahead of a forecast 3 days of rain, finally got rain last night. Will get some pics soon and start a thread. Will spray post emergence with generic roundup once the seedlings hit about 3 inches, with so much seed in the soil really not much point in spraying those plots prior to planting. Have another planned bean plot in the bottom I need to get in, mowed it few days ago and need to drag the disc across the sandy soil down there a few times this week.

    FED UP!

Pretty well have to take the "news" commentary for what you feel its worth. Cannot trust any of what you see on the mainstream media, sadly it is even radio that is so biased that they refuse to report accurately. I have to admit I had the tv on a msm network for a few minutes the night of the meeting just to see how they would try to spin things and could only take a couple minutes of the garbage they were spewing and had to change the channel. This latest madness accusing Trump of doing wrong getting n Korea to the table for talks is total insanity. Same geniuses that were fear mongering before the election saying Trump would get us into a war are now saying he did not get anything out of the meeting???? "What are we getting out of it", getting a denuclearized Korean peninsula is the goal, sane people will hope and pray the Trump administration is successful, the nuts are rooting against success. The idea of war then by those nuts was their point for voting against Trump, and now they are scared of the idea of peace just because it is the Trump administration that is reaching for that goal. And they are attempting to find a means by which to justify their views and again calling for some reason for impeachment for Trumps historic reach for peace.... Yeah, the libs and hollyweirdo elitists are really out there. Scary that people vote for the likes of chucky and pelosi, telling about the upside down world we live in.
  8. On tractor all day today. Got soybeans in, mowed about 6 acres, then mowed the yard. Was supposed to rain tomorrow, now rain chances for tomorrow are gone, and only slight chance tonight. Did have a 5 minute light drizzle not long after I came in. Plopped down in the recliner just in time to catch the belmont race. Nothing planned for tomorrow, maybe try to recover from today. lol
  9. ALL the rest of that go hand in hand with this ^^^^.
  10. Congratulations Tim. Sounds like your hunting time is gonna be wide open now, enjoy it.
  11. Left....pathetic. Yep. Those allowing themselves to follow the left.......troubling. Sad thing is there are some pretty bright youngsters that have been brainwashed by the left's garbage. Just hope and pray the majority of em come around before its too late.........
  12. Have a lot of wedding aftermath stuff needing done around the yard, still have not finished cleaning up everything from last weekend. Need to mow the yard and do some food plot prep if things dry out some but last I checked there was a chance for rain today still too. Need to get a camera out soon too, deer been hammering our mineral site even though I have not refreshed it since last fall. Sure would be nice to see the old busted up buck from last year that I know survived the hunting season still be around our farm, but not gonna hold my breath.
  13. Looks like we are gonna be dodging rain showers and t storms here over the weekend. Hopefully it will all hold out or at least timing will be on our side. Our oldest(Christina) is getting married on Sunday, backyard wedding behind our house. Guest list went from 40 something earlier this week to closer to 80. I smoked 5 7-8 lb boston butts over hickory and have 2 whole 6 lb chickens going now. Getting some help from some ladies from our church with catering not sure what all they are fixing but hopefully will be enough, thought 50 lbs of meat with the chickens should have yielded enough but might be cutting it close. Still need to mow the yard and put down some granular lawn poison sometime today before it rains. Have a load of stuff I need to move around to hopefully give us enough parking space where it will be dry or at least no chances for guests getting stuck. Probably be in the pool quite a bit after all is done. Have 150 lbs of gly resistant soybeans I need to get in the ground. Have some prep work done at one plot site and none done at the other, so may get on the tractor Monday if it is not too wet.
  14. Watch that witch on my laptop, no thanks. I agree with your title though, definitely can't fix stupid and seems stupid has become much more common than common sense.
  15. Cool you got him on video before, for the shot, and after the shot Frank. After watching that, even more inclined to think the first pose would be the better in your other thread.

First one, looks much better imo, and would show off your bear better. Least you don't have to worry about your "limited" wall space. lol.

    Try hyperlinking it maybe.

    Upload video

Not sure if the rt photo post from the forums supports video uploads Frank. If it does, may be a format issue. Don't think 315 mb would be too large a file.
  19. Welcome to the forums. I don't know of any states that have a deer season open this time of the year. Where are you located, what state? If season were open, 2 hours of clearing and cutting would not bother the deer enough not to go on and hunt it.

Congratulations Frank. Looks like he was a very healthy/fat bear. You doing a full mount or a rug?

    New pics

Some very nice bucks there Joe.
  22. Caught a few minutes of it while finishing off supper stuff last night. Hadn't watched your clip. Did Pence commit to running? He would no doubt in my mind be the most obvious gop choice and I would vote for him.
  23. First mothers day without my mom, gonna stay busy I reckon doing something and there is plenty to do around here. Cooking a shoulder tomorrow for Sunday's after church meal. Have a lot to do to get this place ready for a backyard wedding that is rapidly approaching.
  24. Yep, nice that we no longer have a weasly pushover in the White house. Figure iran is about to really make their situation bad, especially if they continue bombing Israel.

    Whats your 2 cents?

Have almost 200,000 on my old 98 3/4 ton truck and the 350 in it still is plenty strong enough to haul some hefty loads, but afraid of a tranny breakdown with that many miles and the history of heavy towing. Found the 18 model 3/4 ton chevy truck I wanted equipped how I wanted it and had some things come up that put that on the backburner for now. But after all the research I have done, I am going with a gasser when I do eventually get to get a new truck. The new duramax has nice specs, but in my situation it won't be a daily driver and really looking at the towing abilities it does not gain much over the gas setup. I do plan to move around equipment occasionally, but my trailer is a 7 ton trailer, so not likely I will be exceeding that. Looking at the cost to maintain the duramax compared to the gasser, plus initial upfront cost, seems a no brainer here. Curious now though what will be in the works for the 19's, supposedly there may be another engine/trans configuration option. A local chevy dealer here offers a 20 year 250,000 mile warranty on all vehicles, EXCEPT diesel engines. Anyway that is another strong selling point towards a gas engine for me since it is highly unlikely I will put that many miles on one and would probably be the last truck I would ever buy.
