  4. I'd rather pass on the weekend opener, because I have to work, but mainly because everyone and there brother will be out there on a weekend opener. I took off during the week, next week. So I have 6 mornings in a row to be out there. less pressure during the week days!!
  5. That's one thing you don't want to be without. I go to this one website and buy what they call the "Summer pak". It's 10 kits in a box, that will last a couple of springs before having to get another. Don't ever want to run out!!
  6. Awesome bird!! Wow, impressive hook on that one leg, to bad the other got broke off!!
  7. Awesome bird and stats!!! WTG!!
  8. First off, congrats on your bowkill!! Now that is an awesome set of hooks for sure!!! A true "limb-hanger" all the way!! WTG!!!
  9. WTG on #3!!!! I still have to wait till May 1st before I can get out there after them!!
  10. I had many bows over the years, and many different makes. I was the type of person that would up-grade every 2 years. But it's when Mathew's came out with the solocam style of bow, that idea sold me. I bought the new Mathew's Ultra-Light years ago and shot that bow for almost 10 years before finally up-grading to their Switchback model a few years back. Another thing I learned: Quality equipment brings much better re-sale value when it comes time to sell it.
  11. I have to agree. #4's sure have the energy at that distance to get the job done, but the pattern will be sparse at best. You may want to switch to a "hevishot" load if you shoot at those distances. You can then go to a smaller size shot and still have the energy levels, but with a much better pattern as well. (Shot sizes such as with #5's or #6's). Still have to pattern your gun, choke, and shell to be sure.
  12. Congrats on an dandy bird. Awesome pic's too!!
  13. Congrats to both of you on some dandy birds!! WTG!!!
  14. WTG...congrats on your opening day bird!!!

    Scopes

I've had some experience with the BSA Red Dot site a few years ago. And a site that's doesn't cost that much, won't hold up to the constant pounding of 3" turkey loads. They are very fragile compared to a better quality optic site. Bottom line you get what you pay for. Personally, I'd rather go with a scope.
  16. WTG!!!! Nothing like getting the first of the season behind the belt!!
