Unfortunately, yes, which is stupid.....just another way to make more money. We plugged it into my buddys 04 sierra and it read the vin number and said it wasn't usable in that vehicle.

I have a Hypertech Power Programmer 3 just like new, in the box with manuals. This programmer allows you to adjust your top-speed limiter, engine RPM rev limiter, cooling fan on/off temperatures, transmission adjustments, speedometer/odometer/part throttle shifting corrections for larger tires, and you can change it back to stock anytime. Its an excellent programmer and will help with fuel economy if adjusted properly. I have no use for it since I sold the vehicle it was in. And yes, it was returned to stock settings. I want $150 shipped to your door. I think it was around $300-$320 new.

Thanks, I needed that. I just had a nightmare the other night that a bunch of snakes were crawling around me when I was sleeping. Then I woke up and they started crawling toward me getting ready to strike me and I was freaking out because I couldnt get to my gun cabinet. Then I woke up. I hate snakes!

My life is too important and my vehicles are too expensive to be taken away by an idiot. Luckily I got a good attorney in the family for situations like this. Thats weird your air bags didnt go off though. My buddy and I hit a herd of deer in my dads 2000 Silverado when we were 16 and the drivers side air bag went off. The passenger side didnt but thats because it was turned off. Glad to hear your both ok!!
