Congrats Roy......This deer season has been the worst since I've been hunting. I have only seen a handful of deer bow season and gun season combined. I'm still waiting to submit the spike I got, hoping I would get a bigger one. But that looks aweful doubtful.

I think I'll set up next to Victorias Secret for the morning hunt. The afternoon I think I'll sneak around the food court because they will have already shopped a few hours and hungry for lunch. And for the evening, I'll sit by the exit as they will all have to leave by 9PM.

LOL, Yup, they get you all excited for nothing! It happened again Sunday on the way back from deer camp. We are listening to them on the radio and they are "driving down the field" down by 6 with under 4 minutes to play. So we quickly jump off I-75 and go into an Apple Bees only to see Kitna throw two interceptions in the last 3 minutes. They may have won 6 games but the Lions seem to drag their opponents down to their level with sloppy ugly football. But on Thanksgiving Day...the Lions always seem to play good. On Thanksgiving they can usually beat the best team in the NFL. I think its because the offensive lineman actually decide to block that day so they can win and win the 6 legged turkey.

I think I might have to go to the mall myself. Not to shop, but because there will be ALOT of women there on black Friday.

Oh Gawd! The new coach better not lose a single game, otherwise the state of Michigan will be nothing but a sunken island from all the tears from the Michigan fans crying because they lost a game. I can't beleive all the whining and crying from my dad and friends about the coaches there... Michigan loses 1 single game and they insist Lloyd is a bad coach and needs to be fired. Give me a break.....the guy had a 75% win rate, several Big Ten titles, and a National Championship. Face it...theres alot of good teams out there and your not going to win every single game year in and year out. I'm sorry if we have any Michigan fans....but the fans are the ones that totally make me dis-like that school. I do admit they have a good football program. But you know what you call a good looking woman at the University of Michigan?? A visitor from Michigan State. Thats all I needed to hear to stay away from Ann Arbor.

After harvesting several hens in the fall, I finally managed to tag my first tom on a fall hunt. I didn't even apply for a fall turkey tag this year because I was going to be more focused on deer hunting. Well, late September my uncle and I picked up a hunting lease about an hour north of the house, and the amount of turkey sign was unbeleivabe. After visiting the lisence dealer, I found there were a few left-over private land fall turkey tags for the area the lease was in. So I picked one up so I could try to tag one in between morning and evening bow hunts. Sunday mid-afternoon I grabbed the shotgun and headed to the back of the property to see if I could hear any turkeys out and about. Sure enough, I could hear a flock off in the distance. I stayed still and I could hear them moving down the property line in my direction. As they closed, it sounded like a rake going through the leaves as the flocked moved closer. Pretty soon I could see heads bobbing and they happened to be on our side of the fence, so I got ready. I would have been more than happy with a nice sized hen, but the first bird that peeked out from behind the brush at 25-30 yards, happened to be a nice sized tom. So I aimed, shot and down he went. The rest of the flock ran a short ten yards or so and continued on as though nothing happened. If only they cooperated that way in April and May. After skinning him, he looks like he will be Thanksgiving dinner since the shot hit the head and neck area with very little damage to the breast area. He had a 8" beard and I estimated him to be around 20# and spurs about 1/2". Not a monster, but will make a nice tail mount to decorate the wall.

I always knew you were a Chevrolet fan......The truth comes out right there. After driving all them Fords, I guess you have to have some way of getting satisfaction out of a vehicle manufacturer.

Hmm...and I thought it was so the referees could pick out the quarterback easier since the QB's in the NFL arent allowed to get hit anymore. Or thats the way it seems anyways with all their pitty calls for the QB.

LOL, wasnt qualifying rained out??? Thats the last I heard.....But I also heard the #24 was fastest in practice. So that would make him the pole sitter for Sunday since he was first in points. You know Luke, with all this toyota talk, I'm beginning to like Jeff Gordon more and more ever week since hes putting his Chevy up front week after week.

Congrats to both of you. I tell ya what.........All of my good friends are either engaged, married, or in serious relationships. I am always the single guy at the party with all the expensive, top of the line toys, better than anybody elses.....but even with all my nice toys...nothing can make you happier than being with the person that you are meant to be with. Hopefully I will find that person someday, but I wish the both of you the best of luck. Congrats again.

HMM....My truck does the same thing.......but its brand new and its just because of the horsepower and torque. If I give it any throttle through a curve it wants to go sideways. I kind of like it though. Oh, the power of diesel engines....

I dont't think the Browning offers the B.O.S.S. system anymore, which I can't understand why....But my Browning 30-06 A-bolt Hunter with B.O.S.S. will shoot holes inside of holes at 100 yards. Its my favorite gun in the cabinet and always my go-to when I can't decide which gun to take to the field. I have no experience with the Weatherbys.

I've got a 460XVR and have shot it a few times. I'm not confident enough to take it deer hunting yet though. Hopefully next year.
