I hear you. Got lucky this year drawing a Wyoming elk tag, so for the most part just doing points everywhere else, except NM which I put in for hard draws and not expecting any love there. When the AZ deer apps go in, that will be my long wait as I have my fingers crossed that Jake draws out on his youth hunt, his last year to apply there for youth. Good luck on the draw.

I am sure the elk & deer appreciate this also.

The govenor sign the bill yesterday. Looks like NM is off my list for applications starting next year when this bill goes into affect.

Jacob and I went to both games on Saturday and the final last night. On saturday I took a point and shoot camera and my pictures really sucked, so I didn't post any of them. Upgraded the camera a little last night and the results were much better. If you look close in some of the second half pictures, you can see paint chips on the floor from where Butler knocked it loose from the the back of the rim.

First off, I want to make sure we are going west to east, that way I could spend more time with her. I would tell her about everything her son has accomplished in the last couple of years and how she is still missed. I would want to know if she had anything to do with the phone call from her old cell phone that I received on our anniversary. I would like to know if she knows why God decided to take her brother also and leave her parents here to suffer their loss. Yea, I think I would like that to be a round trip back west, maybe even a couple of them. Thanks Tominator.:bummed:

Arizona finally released the draw results for Elk & Antelope today. They were delayed due to a landowner issue. Just put in for points for Jake and I.

Ouch. And this is going to be the last year where a DIY actually has a chance to draw. Good luck on your other apps.

Some of you might remeber this thread. http://www.realtree.com/forums/lounge/103697-bridge-demo-pics.html where we were demoing a couple of bridges and had 65 days to re-open them to traffic. These pictures were taken today, but the bridges were actually opened up to traffic on Saturday, Day 61.

I started applying in Colorado in 2006 when we had the Realtree Elk hunt. Have been applying every year since then. Have hunted Colorado one other time for elk also. Most years I have just applied for preference points. The Colorado online system for doing applications is very simple and idiot proof. Colorado uses a true preference point system where the person with the most points that applied for a hunt is drawn. When you use the information that shows the history of how many points is required for a hunt, it allows you to know ahead of time that if applications remain consistent if you will be drawn or not. Of course they always have the fall back plan of OTC (over the counter) elk hunts, also. That way if you just want to hunt, you can buy a license and go. Great for when you strike out in your other applications.

To and from work and normal running around I get about 16 +/-. That is usually doing about 70 - 75 on the back & forth to work. On a trip with limited stops I have gotten around 19.

Good choice for first review. Does Chevy have the steps or nerf bars available for the diesel yet? All the aftermarket producers are apparently having problems with the DEF tank as I still have not been able to get any.
