  1. 12 Days into our demo and re-construction, 30 of the 42 drill shafts complete. 6 columns poured, 4 columns formed ready to pour. Currently show finishing 6 days ahead of schedule.
  2. Better than "Fired at work yesterday"
  3. I paid $2.40 back in Dec. when I had my tank filled.
  4. Brilliant, simply brilliant. A perfect opportunity to take in all of the game day festiviites for the average fan. Odds are it is going to be a pretty day weather wise, so why not. How many here have ever been to a Super Bowl? Very few, if any I am sure. If my team was playing and I was a rabid fan, you darn right I would go. For most people it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity at a reasonable price for a super bowl. Just remember, everything is bigger in Texas!!!!:wine::drink:
  5. Your letting technicalities get in the way here. lol Try YO Ranch. Not far from San Antonio. http://www.yoranch.com/all_inclusive.html They gottem, but... This one is a little easier to swallow. http://www.texashuntlodge.com/scimitar_horned_oryx_hunt_package.asp or this one.. http://www.hunting-texas.net/big-game-hunting-africa.htm If you are serious, I might consider it also. If you want to do it on the cheap there is always the following option. Texas Parks & Wildlife has a drawing for hunts every summer. it is either $3 or $10 to apply, odds are usually around 1 in 3000 or so. Might want to buy a lottery ticket also.
  6. White Sands Missle Range, NM. You need to apply by Feb. 2, 2011. What do I win?;) I am on year 4 of applying. Decided I would like to actually go this year, so I applied for Jake. That lucky devil seems to always draw the tags.
  7. Need2hunts thread got me to wondering, how many have actually paid to go on a guided or outfitted hunt? If you want to elaborate about your hunt, please do.
  8. A show I enjoy is On Your Own Adventures. No guides, no outfitters, do it yourself on public land hunts. Not a kill every show and not Boone & Crockett animals every kill. Kind of like what your average hunter does. What I can't stand is the bowhunter setting in a tree stand in comes the huge buck, and then it get shots right at the end of the show, after you sit through 25 minutes of commercials either paid or part of the show.
  9. What kind of train do you want to drive?
  10. Not sure where Cherry Point is, but if you are close to Charlotte, and enjoy nascar racing, there are numerous shops & such that you can visit. And towards the western side of the state, we went to the town of Cherokee. Believe it is in the Smokey Mountains, interesting place. Kind of a tourist town, but still interesting. Have a play about the Cherokee Indians Trail of Tears. Close to there, East of it, there is an amusement park, think the name of it had Ghost in it. You ride a ski lift up a mountain to it. Very scenic. That is my limit of NC knowledge.
  11. Ross, I tried to find the picture, but it looks like it is gone already, but last summer you had a naming contest for a knife that ended up being named the Contour. I think a blade with the similar design would be nice.
  12. Hope it not all work in Vegas. Have fun.
  13. Cool. Thanks. That is about exactly what it looked like live, just need a little sound to add to it.
  14. Like Steve said, tearing it down so we can rebuild it. We have 65 days to get it and the one going the opposite direction on the other side of the freeway back open to traffic. Making them a little bigger and also getting the columns out of the channel, so it will flow a little better.
  15. We started the demolition of a bridge today, and I took a few pictures of one of the beams falling down. I think it is a pretty cool sequence. This is a 5 span bridge and these pictures are of the 4th span as it is being dropped (or part of it anyways). Here we go.

    Hot topic today

I was usually spanked by hand, but remember a few where a belt and a switch from a tree was used. For my son, I usually spanked by hand when it was needed. After he got older to where I couldn't get my point across with my hand, he got it with a belt. I believe that happened 3 times. We have now come to an understanding, we joke and goof off, but he knows that when I use the serious tone of voice, he needs to do what I say, and he does.
  17. Smartest thing he could do. His stock is at the top right now. He would be stupid if he stayed in school and not cash in in the draft.
  18. 74 beats the heck out of 0. Have fun in AZ
  19. I will take care of that, and while I am at it, I will correct my vote from under 15 to well over 15.
  20. Good luck to you on both the gym & the sheep.
  21. Only allowed 10 options, so I just combined the old timers together.
