  1. Had the alarm set for 6:00 yesterday to go try to hear the year's first. Happened to get up at 5:15. Wind was blowing. Checked computer weather and it was calling for 15-25 mph winds. Figured I may not even be able to hear one gobble in the wind. So I went back to bed and re-set the clock for 7:00 to head over to the restaurant for breakfast. Walked out my back door around 7:15. The wind had layed down and there were two birds gobbling their heads off right back of the house !!! SPRING'S COMING !!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Well DANG !!!!! Heckuva bird !!! CONGRATS !!!!!!!!!!

  7. Got up early yesterday morning and headed out to my fav-O-rite listening spot. It was 18 degrees, but I thought I might just catch one feeling froggy and mouthing off. Nope. :bummed: So me & the dog went down into our biggest foodplot field and the woods next to it looking for sheds. Needed to kill a little time before the restaurant opened for breakfast. No sheds to be found. But did manage to pull 2 ticks off my pant leg. No rest for the wicked, I guess..............

    Winter Olympics

I wouldn't watch a second of it were it not for the hockey. The Pens have guys on team USA, Canada, Russia and Finland. So I'm pretty sure SOMEBODY I'm rootin' for is gonna win !!!

    Grammys

Me either. I basically just say "no" to Hollywood.
  17. Mainly anything rock with intelligent and skillful guitar. Nuge SRV Crue AC/DC Joe Walsh Maiden Eric Johnson Uli John Roth Some of the hair bands....... ........ just to name a few and I don't like ALL the stuff from of any of those named Also love me some good traditional blues as well as true bluegrass. And I even listen to a 3 hour polka show on the radio on Sundays when I get the chance. Today's "country" is just like today's boom-boom dance music and rap.............. you can listen to 10 songs in a row and the major difference between any of them is it was either a woman singing or it was a man singing. Other than that they all sound the same................ a guy with a Fender Telecaster who knows 3 chords and a singer with a half a yodel and a sad story. Yawwwwwwwwwwwwwn.........................
  18. Now that's FUNNY right there !!!! ............. and OHHHHHHHHHH so true !!!!!
  19. I'm with Ruth. Country music nauseates me.
  20. Ted Nugent said it well when he said "A pocket knife, a clean hankie and a handgun............... the 3 things a man should NEVER be without". I tend to agree 110%
  21. Wow !!!! Cabin fever gettin' high already ???? I reckon there'll be a 2014 contest. Probably get something together by the 1st of the month.
  22. My SX3 is actually a 28" barreled Waterfowler in Realtree Max4. It currently has a Kicks GT .665" tube and a Weaver 1x30 red/green dot sight.
  23. Been using a Winchester Super X2 for a lot of years. # 1/2" Winchester HV #6 lead and a XXX-Full Comp-N-Choke tube and it is a monster. Set up a Super X3 last year and all indications are that it will be equally as mean. The SX3 is a whisker lighter than the SX2. Both are gas guns and (if it means anything in the field) are the fastest cycling auto shotguns on the planet, bar NONE. Also................. FWIW............ the SX3 is lighter than the SBE II Benelli and costs about $600 less. That's a LOT of choke tubes, shells or down payment on a turkey hunting trip.
  24. Don't say that too loud. There's not a whole lot between you and the St. Lawrence but prime wolf habitat. On the other side of the river are..................... ummmmm .............. Oh yeah !! Wolves !!!!!
