Mostly sitting in the house watching it rain. Did manage to do an oil change on the Jeep, get the mower back under the Kubota and get most of the yard cut. But then I got chased back in by another 1/2 hour downpour. Probably done mowing for today.

About all you can do in a hunting rifle is to make your COL as long as you can and still have reliable feeding from the magazine box.

Kicked the weekend back with Momma & the kids at my aunt & uncle's cabin in the central PA mountains. Oh yeahhh............. Little BBQ'ing, little quad riding, little campfire sittin', good many ice cold Sol's down the hatch (EVERYONE needs to try Sol at least once !!!) and LOTS of r&r. .......... and back to freakin' work tomorrow.................. poop !!

Very true, too, that the temps in the mid and upper 90's can't be doing a whole lot of good for deer movement.

Oh............ I'm not worried yet. Was just hoping that over 5 or 6 weeks of run time on the cams I'd have gotten something to raise my eyebrows. I know there SHOULD be some DARNED nice bucks in the 3.5-5.5 year range wandering across the ranch from time to time. I know what I had left after season. I'd just like to see some pics.

Left the release on the roof of my Jeep and pulled on to the highway. Release eventually slid off the back about 1/4 mile up the road and a loaded tri-axle log truck ran it over. Broke the trigger off. Sent it to Scott. They fixed it PRONTO and sent it back with a hand-written note that I could send them $15............ if I wanted to. I sent it and was happy to do it.

Was gonna recommend one by Guide Gear (Sportsman's Guide) that's around $60 and ALL DAY, EVERY DAY comfortable. But it appears that they have changed the design and removed the footrest............which will be a deal killer if that's the case.

When somebody tells you that the birds are "done" the 2nd week of the season because they can't get one to work or fire up..........just nod and smile and say "Yep. They're done". :yes: Then go kill a bird with one less hunter in the woods. :clap: Evidently this guy didn't get the memo that he was supposed to "be done" (a month after our season closed).

Pulled my trailcam cards yesterday. They have been out for 5-6 weeks. Boy............. not a whole lot to look forward to at this point. Got a grand total of 2 bucks that were 2.5 or older. One's all dinked on the right side. The other (bad pic) appears to be wide with little tine length (ala Chinese Eyes from last year.......the one that got poached). Sure hope things look better on the next pull.

'Nother vote for Scott. Fantastic releases (I shoot a Caliper) and their customer service is OUT OF THIS WORLD (had to contact them once with a problem that was 110% MY fault).
