Re: Hoyt V-tec? I absolutely love mine! If it fits your style, I don't think it would disappoint.

Re: WILL DUSTY BAKER BE FIRED I certainly hope he is fired. I watch the Cubs about every day, there is no fire in their step, they're making mental errors left and right, half of them don't run out a pop out or ground ball, they just look like they've quit, etc. and I put alot of that on the manger, not all but alot. I'm not saying Dusty is a bad manger, he's just not the right one for this team. They need someone to kick them in the butt. and bring some fire to the club. Who's available that can fill the shoes, not to many choices. Something has to be done though. I personally would like to see whole new management, starting with the owner’s box. Like that's going to happen. I say keep our core players Zambrano,Lee,Barret and our young talent Cedeno,Marshall,Marmol and start tradeing. Wood is done as a starter and won't be able to get much for him but at lest we could dump some of his money. It's been a nightmare season for the Cubs, they have found about every way to lose, including a ball bouncing off Ramirez's head. The really bad part is seeing the Cards struggle now and all it would take is a team above .500. Just my 2cents

Re: Bowhunting Rituals? [ QUOTE ] I am a chronic over packer. i pack up things that i may or may not need then i feel the need to check and recheck everything the night before. when i do go hunting I pick one special arrow to use until i get a shot. then if the arrow is still good, i put another broadhead on it and use it again. [/ QUOTE ] Ditto here, also before the season I get a hair cut and ah ah shave my pits . Did it last year cause I heard an old timer tell about it and it really cut down on odor in that area, and I always bath with no scent soap before I go. I'm sort of a scent control freak.

Re: Bowmaster Portable Bow Press I've been using one for a year now and I like it. A full press is better but for space saving, it fits the bill. I suggest using a 5/8 socket wrench on the bolt, makes things easier, that's for sure. Also if you use it on a Hoyt bow, if you blacktape the extra brackets up, they stay in place and you won't have accidental metal on metal contact with the cams. Hope this helps you.

[ QUOTE ] Jeramie, I think bowmanhunter sells reflective wraps. Check him out on AT or here. http://www.bowmanhunter.com/reflective.html [/ QUOTE ]quote by hutchies Didn't want to hijack your thread hutchies, so I'll just post it here. Here is what I use. I put just a small strip on. I use the silver color and not the red though. 3M Reflective Tape I don't have any pictures of mine but found this one. Reflective wraps pics. I put my arrow out in the yard at night and swept the area with my flashlight and the tape stuck out like a sore thumb, very easy to see. It's basicly the same stuff that firemen use.

Re: Luma-wraps by EasyEye I use some of that tape from 3M that is reflective. Just wrap a 1 inch section around your arrow above the regular wrap, hit it with light and it sticks out like a sore thumb. Good part is it's cheap, although those are pretty cool.

Re: Pendulum sights? Well I started using a Predator IV pendulum sight last season. I shoot a Hoyt Vtec 29.5" #70 and a 420 gr GT, so it's plenty fast. I went with the pendulum because I do not like haveing to guess yardage on a deer coming in. With the Predator I can shoot from 5yds to 37yds and hold right on. Last year was the first where yardage wasn't the main thing on my mind. Deer came in, didn't think "how far", picked a hair and guessed the yards from the tree he fell. And Yes it is quiet. The only thing I don't like about it is the size of the pin gaurd, little big. Other then that I really like it. You still have to bend at the waist, pendulums don't compensate for bad form but I love knowing if they come within my 40 yd circle, they're mine, of course if I do my part .

Re: I Got my Tsc window kit! I shot spitfires through mine just to see how it would work. I put a piece of paper on the front of my target and shot at 20 yds. I almost missed my target and the paper of course showed the blades were open. Through the windows I would stick with fixed blades.

Re: Team Gobbling Thunder (#7) That's awesome Tail Feathers, nice bird!

Re: CUBS SOX Seen it, some suspensions I'm sure are pending. Then talk about adding insult to injury. Things are very very ugly in Cubbie land.

Re: Team Gobbling Thunder (#7) Congrats Derek!! Good hunting on your trip. As far as my part, well sorry team I had my worst season by far. The last two weeks have been nothing but wind, rain, wind, clouds and did I mention wind and just when I thought I had things figured out, they decided to completely change on me over and over. I just didn't git-r-done. I've already started looking for a couple new places in prime country for next year, just has been a frustrating season for me. Well I'm off to buy a butterball . Good Hunting.

Re: Ameristep Customer Service I have a deer cart I was using to transport a load of sand when I went over a 6" drop. Well one of the wheels snapped when I did, so I emailed about buying a new one and an hour later I was being asked for my address so they could send me one free. 3 days later I received the package with not 1 but a pair of wheels free. That's good customer service.

Re: Looking at buying a vtec. I absolutely love mine. Fast, forgiveing, holds great and gives you alot of confidence shooting. Like finsfur said above I use to dream of shooting 50 yds now I practice at 70.

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #7 [ QUOTE ] Wow, this is the most frustrated I've ever been as a turkey hunter. I've only ever been skunked one season and at least that season I shot at and missed one with the bow. [/ QUOTE ] Same here and I finally had 2 toms with 7-8" beards coming in to my decoy, I'm getting ready to pull back settle the pin and shot, when all of a sudden they take of like a bat out of you know where. I was left thinking man what did I do, did they see move, did the decoy spook em, what? I then looked behind me through the blind window and here comes walking not one but 2 different hunters. I'm trying hard fellas (couple 12 hour days) but things aren't looking to good for me to help out the team. Some one break out the mojo for us here .

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #7 Congrats Joe! Well been putting in time here with nothing to show for it. I've been shut out of the turkey timber I've been hunting for the last couple years, the one I mentioned earlier. So I've had to go to plan c, plan b has been over taken with 4 wheelers trespassing. I must say I'm seeing birds but all 100 yds away in an open field. If I call they go the other way, even sweet and light talk (it's on the edge of a hard hunted public ground and private) and they are sticking with their lady friends. It's been very frustrating to say the lest and I had high hopes coming into the season. Well I'll probably be out all day tomorrow, so we'll see. I'll take about anything right now. Hope every one else is doing better, good hunting.
