  1. Re: Muzzle rubbers, what are they called? Get some surgical gloves and cut the fingers off-cheap and work great or use a ballon
  2. Re: Canadian forum member get together. The FRANKLIN HOTEL in Assinaboia lol-I spent a week there one night lol.
  3. Re: Canadian forum member get together. Well the center of my little world is Meadow Lake, Sask.-we can all go drool in Saskman's rec room-or fish or go on major gopher safari on our place lol.
  4. Re: A Howlin\' Good Time (wolf pics) Wellmaybe you skinned him without him being frozen then thawed out cause the ones I've been around have flat out stunk. Wolves are such an amazing animal I think kind of a once in a lifetime trophy-soime guys up here have called them in with predator calls that would be fun I think.
  5. Re: A Howlin\' Good Time (wolf pics) Did you skin it yet-there is nothing more rotten on the face of the earth than a timber wolf to skin-they are such neat animals can be so elusive one time and the next time just sit there-guy up here just shot a big black one drinking out his watering bowl of all things-must of been too lazy to walk to the river. Very nice wolf though-they should almost be prime by now.
  6. Re: Best Varmint Hunting Footage I Have ever Seen!!!!! I shot a gopher facing me with my .222 once and I must of hit right under him because I launched him probably ten feet in the air. He hit the ground running-bet he had a good story for his gopher buddies back in the hole lol.
  7. Re: Cartridge Comparison Was talking to a guiding buddy and now the big rage amongst the American guys coming up is the (sacro-cranial shot) danged if I know where that is-there are times you could shoot a fawn with an elephant gun and it will run a few steps. A shot through both lungs will KILL any animal in a very short distance-it's the biggest easiest target and you don't need to hit them there with a rocket launcher. From what I've seen 99 percent of guys-me included-can't even push the accuracy limits of the equipment they are using. You see guys spend thousands of dollars and obsess about shrinking their groups when for most hunting situations they are already shooting more than good enough. The biggest thing I feel is to know your limitations and shoot and hunt within them. If you have trouble shooting deer at 200 yards don't spend gobs of money trying to shoot one at 600.
  8. Re: 2004-05 RT Deer Contest - PRIZES I'd like to thank all the little people who made it allpossible-Buckee for missing tonight lol. Ohh by the way-I'm grounding superguide jr. tillhunting season is over-the little team 17 traitor lol.OOps Team 16 hasn't won yet but we will lol.
  9. Re: a few of my badgers! I killed one with a crowbar once that was pretty awesome action. lol
  10. Re: Found my Shed!! {Pic} GONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Re: Wrong Stand I usually give my buddies the best spot but they don't stay put lol. Sat a friend from BC in a great place he kept moving around saw three 150 plus deer there next day lol
  12. Re: stupid yote!! I was leaning across my hood to shoot one once-looking at him thru my scope when another yote walked across about ten yards from me-scared the crap out of me when it popped into my scope lol
  13. Re: Pete Rose I agree with JJL if it's character that allows you in the hall of fame then you might as well close the doors. I don't think what Pete did was right but it's no worse than the drug users, wife beaters and drunks that already grace it's halls-no offence to the great players that are in there but let's face it innocence, integrity and honesty are gone from all major sports not just baseball. Pro cowboys are about the last true athletes left-there's no way to buy off or cheat a bull or a bronc.
  14. Re: Big Beaver LOL Just was reading a naturalist study on timber wolves in the Prince Albert National Park they studied their scat and 60% of their summer diet is made up of beaver. They must be easy to carry back to pups when they are little.
  15. Re: Best calibre for kids? My boy started shooting a .270 when he was 10 with no problem but he also has a .243. When they start shooting make sure they wear ear protection and give them a gun with a decent trigger pull-it will rewally cut down on flinching.
  16. Re: Funny-product warning label god whitetail killer learn to proof read lmbo
  17. Re: Cyclist gets runover by deer I got a neighbor that's a real big guy probably 6'5" 250-he was heading down his driveway on his quad when a deer hit him and knocked him off it backwards. Talk about a wakeup call.
  18. Re: What is up with this? In regards to deer drives we do what i call scent pushes here-when there's just two of you hunting you set one guy up downwind then just still hunt slowly upwind from him-we've killed some good bucks sneaking out from the stillhunter.
  19. Re: Awesome 7 point Don't know what this buck would of scored just saw him on video but he was a 3x3 and was huge. I've seen some 4x4 bucks that scored 170 plus and he was every bit as big as them. My hunter passed him up and shot a 167 6x6 two days later some guys have all the luck.
  20. Re: Take a quiz #3 I got 70 percent I got the one wrong aboutfarmers liking foxes-I said yes-guess cause I'm a rancher anything that kills chickens is o.k. in my books lol.
