SERM............are they sharing one brain???
superguide replied to SaskMan's topic in Canadian Outdoorsmen
Re: SERM............are they sharing one brain??? Yeah I've had to hit the dirt when some wingnut has decided to strafe a deer running across a field-one guy in a half ton can ruin hunting for alot of guys in his morning drive by. I remember one time going on about a 3 mile quick hike to get the wind right to get into this little honeyhole just at the right time when some @#$%^^ decided to cruise it with his truck-got his licence number and the landowner hunted him down and tuned him good-more of that needs to happen. -

Re: SERM............are they sharing one brain??? Roadhunter's really tred the legality side of things pretty lightly-realistically how can you drive all over the country and know what fields are legal to hunt in and which are not-how can you know whether there's a house nearby-cattle in the field etc. etc. Just because it may be legal it sure as heck isn't ethical and is downright lazy. For crying out loud my 7 year old walked two miles with me after school today hunting had the time of her life. All road hunters do is get more and more land posted 'No Hunting' every year. If they want to drive up and kill something I can sell them a cow to blast!!!!! -
Re: Bear Hunter in Bad Concision That's too bad but man it's funny. I could just see the loook on his face going over the cliff lol.

Superguide Jr. had a weird deal this A'M- he shot a 4x4 buck but the horns had mysteriously shrunk when he walked up to it-the only thing that we can figure is that someone or something must of boiled them till they shrunk-he is quite shook up and will be seeking counselling.

Re: SERM............are they sharing one brain??? Exactly Road Hunters are scum-there are about 5 major road hunting areas if SERM wanted to do something they'd be out there checking those idiots every morning or make 55 a totally hunt on foot area. I get pretty sick of being scoped on my own place. -
Re: Question for the cold weather hunters I think alot of guys soak a roll of toilet paper in methyll hydrate and put it in a can and light it. Better try it outside first though. There's been alot of deer shot from just a plain old wood fitre guys have lit to warm up-curious deer walking up to check it out.

Re: holier than thou forum members Here's a way to make yourself bear down-if you shoot a deer and lose it-cancel your tag-trhat's what I did-you'll be alot more careful next time. It was so stupid what I did-I crawled on my stomach across an open field probably 400 yards-then shot from prone and dropped the deer. Instead of running up to it I was pacing off the distance as I walked up to it-it ran away-this was 20 years ago I actually quit hunting for two years I was so disgusted with myself.

Re: SERM............are they sharing one brain??? Ohhh now I'm stirred up-Ty found a big buck dead on first day of season 3 years ago (158 net). So I went and got the head out of bush for him-thought I'd do it up right and get a horn possession permit from S.ERM-they tried to seize the horns-here's my 10 year old about to get screwed over so I told him I had an axe in the back of the truck I'd just chop them up in the parking lot-all of a sudden when he wasn't going to get his paws on them they wrote out ty's permit. I'm glad I hunt on foot way back on my own place so never have to deal with them much-zero public relations or common sense. -

Re: SERM............are they sharing one brain??? Like Kaare says they are totally mismanaging zone 55-it should have an elk season for sure and at least three anterless tags-why not sell them to youth hunters for 10 bucks a piece or make u fill two before you can get a buck tag. As to nonresident coyote hunting SERM stung me for 300 bucks on that one-it said right in synopsis that nonresidents didn't need services of a guiide-a couple of my americans had tagged out so I took them 'yote hunting on my day off while I was hunting deer-they charged me with hunting while guiding(outfitter's act). I don't know how you can guide for something that doesn't require a guide. They seized my rifle so I paid their b.s volountary fine $300 instead of risking losing a $1500 rifle-I totally lost respect for them after that. -
Re: Comments new Sask deer tags? Yeah we've used 4 already and they are totally useless.

Re: Incredible Performance It's not for the faint of heart-I'd like to breed some of our buckers to 'Blueberry Wine'

Adriano Moraes tore his bicep tendon completely off on Saturday night at PBR finals-tonight he got on 'Crossfire Hurricane' unridden in last 19 outs and stuck it on him for 93 points-unbelievable the pain he endured to ride that bull-that guy is some kind of cowboy!!!!

Re: Do you really hold out for the big ones? I hunt till last day of our 5 week rifle season and if I don't see a big enough buck to shoot I'll take a doe-I've shot lots of 130ish deer so no reason to shoot another-besides if I shot first chance I got I'd have to quit hunting.

Re: POLL on snow camo???? Snow Camo is illegal to use in Saskatchewan during rifle seasons so lots of guys use straight white-If yu can sit still you can wear almost anything they won't see you-I've had bucks 10 feet from me while I was still hunting wearing blaze orange.
