Oh really, they were? Like you mean Arkansas was deserving of their preseason #10 ranking? Or Auburn was deserving of their preseason #25 ranking? Arkansas at 10 was due to one thing and one thing only...SEC over-hyping. There are definitely some strong teams in that conference, but not nearly as many stong teams as people like to think and the bottom teams in that conference are garbo. Anyway, yes, Hoosier I do like ND's defense a lot. Like their RB too- don't care enough to know his name though. But I like the way he runs. I just think Golson is going to be a liability for them in a big game against a defense that plays like 'Bama's (or Georgia's for that matter).

Try to follow along, Sport. My hatred for Notre Dame far outweighs my hatred for the overly-hyped SEC. Look at 'Bama's strength of schedule. It tells you all you need to know. 2/3nds of the conference is terrible. There are 4 good teams, one mediocre team, and 9 horrendous teams.

Real men shake hands. Memo to Michigan: You guys don't know how to hire coaches. It took ole pudge ball Hoke about a minute and a half to realize he wasn't coaching against Luke Fickell this year. Ann Arbor is still a loose woman. The Urb goes 12-0 in his first year with the Bucks. Miller is still raw, the talent (especially on the offensive side of the ball) is mediocre. One can only imagine what this OSU squad is going to be like once Meyer's had three recruiting classes under his belt and Miller is entering his senior year. Be afraid Meatchicken, be very afraid.

Well, looks like I'm going to get my wish of seeing 'Bama crush ND in the title game. Again, the entire SEC is going to get credit for a dominant 'Bama program.

I don't think Oklahoma is that impressive. Landry Jones is garbo and that Oklahoma defense isn't what it once was. ND is a solid team, but I don't think they're a #1 team. Love their defense and their RB, but right now Golson is a liability.

Yeah, Georgia is legit. They have some really impressive athletes on that squad. Right now, if you take the top three school from every conference, the SEC wins. But, from top to bottom I think the Pac-12 is the deepest conference. I was hoping for a Oregon vs. 'Bama title game, still could get it I guess. Those are the two best teams in the country IMO. I just hope this over-hyped Notre Dame team doesn't get in. I'm thinking USC is going to smoke them though. I don't want to see a Notre Dame vs. Kansas State championship game though. That is fo sho.

Oh, and I almost forgot the most glarring example of the SEC over hyping. Arkansas opened the year ranked 8th!! What a joke. And what happened to Auburn?! Yikes. I guess they couldn't bribe the father of some shady JuCo transfer to come in and buy his way to the Heisman this year.

I think you're cutting the BCS leaders in on all this cash too!! haha It's definitely a great conference. What I'm saying is it's not that far above the others as everyone likes to think. I'm a Big Ten guy, and right now, this as about as down as I can remember seeing it. But there are some good coaches who are really recruiting so it will be back. I think LSU and 'Bama are going to be doing their thing for a long time too.

So, a couple weeks ago, there was no way Miss St. should have been ranked 15th or whatever they were when Texas A&M smoked them. Honestly, it's Mississippi State... Let's all remember, this A&M team was average in the Big 12 last season. Then, this A&M team rolls into 'Bama's house with a freshman QB and rolls the mighty tide who I was told would beat NFL teams and was the greatest team ever. Then, apparently any team with "UL" in there name would be one of the best teams in the SEC as UL Monroe and UL Lafayette can play with even the top SEC teams...it took a blocked punt with a few seconds left for Florida to beat Lafayette... Remember, due to the SEC over-hyping, this average Florida team was ranked 2nd at one point in time!! Is the SEC overrated, yes, yes it is.

Haha, Gator you ole SOB. It's been too long! You must have been lost without me there to talk some football sense to ya. OSU is not a good team this year, not by a long shot. Tressel didn't have the strongest recruiting classes the last 3 years and it shows. They need major upgrades at the WR position and this is one of the worst linebacking corps. They've had in my 33 years (they're even playing their FB at LB part-time). Carlos Hyde is a good, powerful back, but he doesn't fit Meyer's spread system. They give up a ton of big plays on defense and special teams too, never seen anything like it. If OSU played 'Bama tomorrow, they'd lose by 42. I don't expect OSU to be a legit contender until 2014. Braxton Miller will be a legit Heisman contender then too (he's in the running this year but doesn't stand a chance at winning it). Dude, those are all Meyer recruits there...Muschamp is a putz. You want Meyer back and you know it.

I've been seeing a ton of deer this season, way more than usual. They've all been doe though. I took a nice sized doe last Wednesday. But I haven't seen a buck. I'm not too worried, this is the low period for buck activity in my area and things should start picking up. Cool to hear rattling is working for you. I'm going to start that this week.

Got my first yote with my compound on Saturday. I called him in with my mouth, just making a squeaking sound trying to sound like a wounded rabbit or something. I actually called one in the same way last year but my arrow hit a tree limb square. Appartently, they're not hard to call in because I'm defninitely not an expert mouth caller. I changed my rest and need to put a release cushion on the string. I bought some at Gander, but they didn't come with instructions and based on the laws of physics, I don't understand how I can this on the string without. They came with a little metal tool that has me even more confused. Anyone know how to get these on the string?

Gary Bettman is the only commish dumb enough to allow this to happen...again. It's a shame. It's the greatest game to play, but this clown has made it irrelevant. Under his watch the game has been taken off of ESPN and put on some obscure channel only a few people actually get. He is terrible.
