    Game day

My Clowns managed to keep up their long tradition of losing their Home Opener, this time, to what looks to be the worst team in the NFL...well, the worst besides the Cleveland Clowns that is.
  2. it's not going to launch the draft with 9 teams...
  3. i just got into our league page, it's working now
  4. i signed up this morning, should be good to go for tonight.
  5. This is Tebow's girlfriend...I guess he has his own personal spin on the whole 'What Would Jesus Do' thing..
  6. Wait, are we talking about me or Tim Tebow here? And anyway, are you saying people who talk sports on TV actually know anything? Even Lee Corso would be surprised to hear you say that. As for Tebow's missions, is it Christian love? That is the guise under which he protrays himself, but that's it. The entire effort is devalued when the dbag brings a camera crew and parades around in front of it. Talk about Ego-driven behavior. If you want to help people, I'll commend you, but do it for the sake of making the world a better place and nothing else. If that is truly your sole motivation, why film it? That appears to be the difference between you and I, bud. I can see through the BS. Are you familiar with the actor Gary Sinise? He does more charity/goodwill work than most, and most people don't know about it because he doesn't broadcast it to the world.
  7. Yeah Corey, I'm not high on MJD either. Lots of miles on those tires. But, we had the 8th overall pick (I do this team with my buddy) and he was really the best there and we couldn't justify taking a guy like Moreno at 8. Moreno was our 2nd rounder though. Our plan was to take LeGarrett Blount with the 8th but he went 6th...this draft is crazy. Lots of fun though. Last year we thought we were slick and had planned to take Arian Foster at #3...I was sure he wasn't on anyone elses radar, but a guy actually traded up to #1 to take him. These guys are pretty saavy in this league...I was shocked.
  8. If that is true, than Kyle Orton must be the greatest of all-time and Brady Quinn must be 2nd best if they're on the depth chart ahead of him.
  9. Because if you're going to do a mission in Africa, don't bring a camera crew. If you're going to witness to Florida prison inmates, don't bring a camera crew. If you're an attention junky, fine, just don't be a shameless self-promoter in the name of God, mmmmmkayyy? Not to mention, for a horrible QB and 3rd stringer...why am I always hearing about you? Go away and let Brady Quinn take the snaps with the 2nd team. Dude is a phony...and he should be playing H-Back, like yours truly suggested 3 years ago. And....BOOM goes the dynamite.
  10. I'll sign in tonight, man. thanks for setting it up.
  11. I also have Marion Barber, forgot about that one...not like anyway cares. This place is BORING these days.
  12. 115 is what popped into my head too. Not sure how much more he'll grow. Any deer is a trophy, good luck on him.
  13. Keep in mind, we get to keep one player at each offensive position, and then one defensive player overall. So, the first round of the draft starts with the top ten players at each position being off the board. I think I did okay...but not great. QB- Rivers (keeper) HB- Steven Jackson (keeper) HB- MJD Flex- Moreno WR- Dez Bryant (keeper) WR- Anquan Boldin WR- Plaxico Burress TE- Dallas Clark (keeper) K- S. Gostowski DL- Julius Peppers LB- DeMarcus Ware (keeper) LB- Jon Beason DB- Patrick Chung DB- Charles Tillman BN- Mark Ingram BN- Jay Cutler BN- Hines Ward BN- James Jones BN- Jacoby Jones BN- Brent Celek BN- Billy Cundiff (you draft 2 Ks so you don't have to use your one per week waiver move) BN- Kendall Hunter BN- Jordy Nelson BN- Arrelious Benn BN- Carlos Dunlap BN- Mario Williams BN- Charles Woodson
  14. Hmmm...I'm not so sure, Corey. I'm not a big Jamal Charles guy, but I think he'll be solid for you. You have a lot of question marks at WR, and this Daniel Thomas guy looks like he runs with the blocking sled tied to his waist. I think Benn might have a nice year for Tampa. I took him in my keeper/IDP league. MoMass could be a very nice flyer for you too, just depends how much having Greg Little in the mix takes targets away from him.
  15. So, we have enough guys? When would the draft be?
  16. I always incorporate one of my players names into my team name. Mine are usually adult themed though, so I can't provide examples.

    rory

stupid move on 18...he also should have tried to get his ball to roll into the hazard more on his second drop. Still, he's got a huge lead. i hope he can keep this going. he's one of my favorite players.

    rory

so, at this rate, rory can shoot 80 on Sunday and still win...this kid has game. just barely missed an eagle, he's tied for the lowest score in a US Open right now. this is fun to watch.
  19. People go out of their way routinely to emphasize how great this guy's character is, how much he impacted their lives, how he was like a father figure. You ever hear that about Pete Carroll? These prayer sessions Tressel had for his players EVERYDAY...that was just to pull the wool over everyone's eye, right John? Come on. The 'sources' in SI were ex-con's who now own tatoo parlors. Wow, credible... This stuff goes on at every program. If SI wants to report what the ex-con's told them. Okay, not the best journalism I've ever seen, but they could at least save the personal attacks on a man's character. Thoma said it best. Tressel's care and concerns for his players is what ultimately brought him down. If he never sends Pryor's mentor that email...maybe he gets away with this. But he was trying to help the kid...a kid who was the biggest waste of life to ever step foot on the hallowed turf at The Shoe. That's what you get when you pull a kid out of PA...bunch of punks.
  20. If that were true, John, then way didn't Ray Small defend him? Anyway, the kid who wrote that article was a punter...and probably one of the worst punters OSU has had in my lifetime. Kid would have been lucky to have a booster hand him $5.
