Not sure how confident I am in Clemson winning a NC. But, they have an explosive offense. Everytime I can find a Clemson game on TV here in Ohio, I watch it. That Sammy Watkins kid is ridiculous. I like their coach too, heard him interviewed a few times. Again though, they're a darkhorse. If you gave me 100/1 I'd lay $20 on them. haha

Yeah, I could definitely see my Buckeyes losing the last two games of the season. Camp Randall is tough place to play, but I'm not sold on the Badgers QB...it work last year, with that BS transfer deal, but I don't think this kid from Maryland is as good as Wilson was. I don't think Wisconsin's defense is anything to write home about. I really think OSU defense is going to be top five in the nation.

I'll bet any and all of you the SEC will not win it this year. Granted, the last few years LSU and 'Bama have had some stellar, stellar teams, but this whole SEC slupring has got to stop. THe SECs top three teams are awesome (LSU, Bama, and Arkansas) after that it's garbage...Vandy, UT, Old Miss, Miss St., Missouri, Pa-lease.... Right now, the two best teams in the country play in the Big 12 and the Pac 12...Oklahoma and USC.

Predictions, THE Ohio State University goes undefeated powered by a disgustingly good defensive front. My pick for the 2012 National Champion is the Oklahoma Sooners. They'll play either USC or LSU. Darkhorses are Clemson and Arkansa. I would put Meatchicken into the darkhorse discussion, but they'll lose to OSU at The Shoe. OSU has a bowl ban so that's their bowl game. Oh, and OSU has the best coach in college football as well as Braxton Miller, the most talented QB I've seen at OSU in my 32 years. Discuss.

The most impressive part of this story is that you found a chick willing to sleep with you! Seriously though, congrats, Cody.

I actually just shot 78 on a 72.1 rated course this past Sunday. It was the first time I broke 80. It felt awesome. I've been working pretty hard on my game the last 5 years but one or two holes usually kept me from breaking 80.

Thanks for setting it up. I'll sign up for it tonight from home.

Well, here is what happened. I stopped posting as much, and not coincidentally, the overall quality of the forums suffered because of it. Threads weren't nearly as funny or interesting. The number of female members dropped off significantly...and some even say Realtree's overall profit margin took a hit. So, even though I'm really busy all day, I'm trying to make an effort to come around more often for you folks.

The Urb is from Ashtabula, Ohio (my grandfather's birthplace). He grew up a Buckeye and OSU is one of the top five coaching jobs in college football. He's not going anywhere for at least 10-15 years.

I think it might take a few more years for PSU to overcome the scandal, unless the NCAA decides to come down with the thunder on them. Then, I'm afraid it might take a lot longer. But only time will tell. What The Urb has been able to do in such a short period of time with his recruiting class has been impressive. I'll always love Woody, but I think The Urb is going to bring OSU to a whole new level of success in an era where it's harder to win titles than it was back in Woody's time. I think Braxton Miller is going to be scary good in Meyer's spread system. I can't wait either.

Giants. Not sure why it took them so long to get it together this year, but they've peaked at the right time. Their offense is explosive. Eli is groomed and has more weapons than any other QB in the league. I LOVE their defense, especially that front four- it's how a 4/3 should be run (memo to the Cleveland Browns). You can never count out Brady and Belicheat, but I just don't think their defense will be able to stay with Hicks and Cruz. I don't think they'll be able to run, which is probably okay with them, but as long as the Giants can limit Gronkowski they should handle the Pats. Giants 31-Pats 21

Spring time. In my opinion, spring is the best time to fish for most species. There are a lot of reservoirs in my area of Ohio. In the spring, the water is cool, and water levels are up. I just fish around the shorelines, in brush and down tree type of cover. Float a hair jig tipped with a minnow and do well. You usually get the big females this time of year too.

Listen, Florida is a nice place, if you like bug infested swamps and whatnot. I'm only kidding dude. I like Florida, nothing wrong with beaches this time of year, that's for sure. Anyway, I was really disappointed in the way Braxton Miller played. I think he has the ability to be the best QB to ever play for OSU, but only if he can fix his accuracy and stop thinking he has to throw the ball as hard as he can every throw. I'm hopin' our boy Urb can coach him up.

Ha. The only thing lame duck about that game was Luke Fickell. Come on Jason, are you really going to try and brag about a 7 point win over the worst OSU team since 1897!! A team still dealing with the worst scandal to ever hit the program? And it still takes two great special team plays to eek out a win. Which, by the way, that "touchdown" catch was not a catch. Hardly anything to brag about. I thought you knew better than that man.
-
It took two special teams plays to beat the first OSU team since 1897 to lose 7 games in a season for UF to win by a touchdown...all while that same OSU team was starting only its 3rd true freshman QB ever, with an interim Head Coach. Color me unimpressed. We got Urban now...enjoy going 6-6 every year.

There used to be a guy on the boards here that really posted some great sports takes...I'm trying to remember his name. Anyway, this guy called out Brett Favre for being the selfish dbag he was, and also said Favre was handcuffing the Packers with all that waffling he did on whether or not he was going to retire or not. This smart forum member also said Aaron Rodgers was a player... Oh, yeah, that was me!
-
No biggie. I don't think they'll be legit title contenders until Braxton Miller's Junior year anyway, and that will be the 2013 Bowl season. And, they only lost 3 scholarships a year for the next 3 years. USC lost 30...and they still had one of the best recruiting classes last year, and do again this year. The scholarships Meyers has are still going to be filled with all 4 and 5 star caliber players. This is really a non-story.

when are you thinking? i was planning on another Lake Erie ice trip, but i'm not sure the ice is going to be set up this year.
-
John, since I've said that they've changed head coaches and GMs five times! haha Well, actually, the one thing they've done right under Holmgren and Heckert is draft well. They've gotten all their 1st and 2nd round picks right and that's really all you can ask for in the draft. Really, they need a QB...still. I hope they get the guy in April, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Good points. Really, there is no clean cut favorite right now I don't think. Every team has flaws. Unfortunately, I guess I'd have to say the Steelers are sitting pretty. Baltimore can beat anyone, but they've had some major flops this year and Flacco is overrated IMO. I think the Saints are flying under the radar a tad. Again though, their Def hasn't been as good as other years.
