  1. If he doesn't like to go up in the air why not get him a good blind?
  2. The Ruger is not nearly as cute is it. I would still opt with the Walther over the sig. and you can get that one in pink. My wife says "Pink guns are gay".
  3. I get my Victory Vforce V6 from a guy on Archery Talk for $45 a dozen bare shafts.
  4. What kind of powder does that use? Please pardon my ignorace.
  5. m gardner has some good advice there. You may want to check your state laws for barrel length requirements if you are going to hunt with it. Arkansas requires a 4" barrel. For the price of a big revolver like that you may want to look at a Glock 10mm.
  6. I've heard that the Sig Mosquito have ejection and feed problems. I was about to buy one for my wife and the guy at the store recomended the Walther even though it was a lot cheaper. The wife ended up with a G26. Aparently she knew better what she wanted than I did. Imagine that. I think you can get the Wather in pink and I really like the way they look too. If I were getting myself a 22lr pistol it would likely be a Ruger Mark III. They are simply unbeatable for quality, reliability, and out of the box accuracy.
  7. I get the best that I can afford. That generally means wiatng out of season for sales, checking ebay and the classifieds on forums like this and newspapers. Some of your questions can be answered by getting on line and just looking for them. Some states don't require blaze orange on private land so if you're in one of those states and hunting private land the answer would be $0. The tags are simple too. Just get on your states game and fish websight and see. In Arkansas a Sportsman's license cost $35.50 for an extra $5 you can put a trout stamp on there and then whatever duck stamps cost. (I don't duck hunt) As for the stand and the knife, you have to look at your priorties. If you're a young strappin lad then you could get away with something a little heavier which equals cheaper. If your old like me it's worth the extra money to shed a few pounds on the stand. Decent knives can be found at your local Wal-Mart store for $20 or you can get a better one for hundreds. I've got a nice compromise buck with a gut hook that cost about $100. I do have several other cheaper knives that I carry and use for different applications. There's no way I'm using my good knife for clearing a shooting lane. The only items I have that cost me retail are my rest for my bow, fletching glue, my rifle scopes and my thermacell. Everything from my hand warmers to my ATV were bought on sale, second hand or on ebay.

    Feral Cats

I had a cat. I named it Target.
  9. We'd be Duggers if we did that. Both of our kids were accidents. We never actively tried to have kids. My wife was 29 when we had our daughter and 38 with our son. She got her tubes tied when he was born. Unless the fallopian tube fairy comes, we're done. My wife's mother had her when she was 43, my mom had me when she was 24. There are advantages with both.
  10. I have the cheapy lee challenger press and haven't had a single issue with it. Granted I'm not loading a lot. I've loded about 1000 rifle rounds and nearly 2000 9mm rounds. I might get a single stage for rifle and the progressive for the pistol rounds. I like to make sure all my rifle rounds are very consistant.

    What Do You?

But if you assume that I was and with the average band dirctor. If you did, you would be right. I am the exception, just as the legal dog hunter in Arkansas would be the exception. Arkansas Game and Fish has more complaints on Dog runners trespassing than all other hunting related violations.
  12. +1 Without their crazy rules they would be drilling in 500 feet instead of 5000 this would never had happened. I give Obama a good bit of the blame for the current situation. We had lots of offers to help from other countries and it was turned down. 52 days before even saying anything of significance? Really? WT? He still hasn't done anything of substance.
  13. That's not very politically correct. :gunsmilie:
  14. Cool, that will make a nice raise on my next paycheck.
  15. Sorry, got in a hurry reading. My bad. :pop:

    Ghosts?

    I don't believe in them.
  17. My Bitz clamp looks to be about 6" long I use it for my 2" blazers. I'm guessing it can do anything that can fit in it.

    What Do You?

You assume that dog runners want to hunt legally and ethically.
  19. Have you ever hunted with a crossbow?
  20. What kind of plate would you use for shooting 22lr?
  21. The youth bow actually fits me really well. I'm only 5'6" and have small hands. I can hold a wopper, but it's a stretch.

    What Do You?

So how do you feel about dogs being run accross property lines. Or dogs chasing horses and cattle while running across property that they don't have permission to be on. That's one of the main issues in Arkansas where dogs are allowed. These "hunters" raise thier dogs all year, don't have any land or lease of thier own and let their dogs out to cross other peoples land and run the deer to them. As for baiting, would those who are against it sit in an oak tree that was dropping it's acorns, would you build a mock scrape, would you put out estrus scent, do you carry a grunt call, or ratteling horns? It's all baiting.
  23. +1 My dad had a NEF huntsman that would shoot 2" groups at 150 yards with an aimpoint 3moa red dot scope.

There are roumors that the AG&F (Arkanasas Game and Fish) are talking about requireing a hunter orange drape over all enclosed stands less than 6' off the ground. Not sure how I feel about that. Of course I don't think deer can see the orange.
