  1. Re: Home Brew The Pixcontroller link I sent you in the PM should give you all the info you need. You also can buy the Pix Universal kit which gives you everything you need except the Case and Camera. But I think you can get a case there too. I've built a few cameras now and prefer to make the Sony homebrews. Very Easy to do. Depending on how much you get the camera on ebay for. Either the Sony P32 or P41 will make a great camera. I have both. They are both just about the same to make. Except for 1 wire which is flip flopped on the 2 units. wtnhunt's prices are accurate. Plus the main benefits are a better camera for less money. My homebrews range is double that of my Leaf River camera and Non Typical camera and I don't get too many missed shots either. Good luck.
  2. Re: They Like Apples I'm out of apples now. I get them from a local orchard. I buy them by the bushel for $4. They are apples that have fallen to the ground. It's just corn out there now.
  3. Re: They Like Apples The Red Fox is there eating apples just about on a daily basis now. My camera is about 10 feet off the ground. THought it'd be cool to get a different angle.
  4. These are backyard photos. I never thought that Coyotes, Foxes were so into apples I have Tons of pics of the red foxes. Also these are my first pics of a gray fox. These are just a few pics. I also have a family of raccoons and oppossums taking apples somewhere around here. lol. Notice this guy still has spots along his spine in October.
  5. Re: Homebrews Here's a Sony P32 with a Pix universal board kit. The whole thing cost me around $180 to build and it produces WAY better pics than my commercial units. Plus the detection range is double that of my Leaf River camera.
  6. Re: Obtaining a FFL?? Thanks for the info. Anyone else have any input?
  7. I was curious about obtaining a FFL and possibly selling guns from my home as a side business. Have any of you done this or actually have a FFL and sell firearms from your home? How hard is it to acutally get an FFL? I've seen a few websites that offer FFL Kits for sale but am skeptical about paying for them. ANy advice or infor would be appreciated. THanks
  8. Re: Pennsylvania Hunting ???\'s How hard would it be for a non-resident to gain permission to hunt private land?
  9. Re: Pennsylvania Hunting ???\'s Thanks guys. Well like I've said i've been hunting in Vermont and there are approx. 1 deer per sq. mile. Which is ridiculous. I live in Rhode Island so I'd probably bring my camper down to hunt for a week and hopefully a couple weekends in the off season to do a little scouting. Nice buck PAstringking.
  10. We'll after 20 years of banging my head against a tree in Vermont. I think I'm gonna pack it up and try hunting in PA. Although I love Vermont, it's just not the same as it used to be. So if I'm going to travel from Rhode Island to somewhere I think I'm going to try Pennsylvania. Most likely Bowhunting but may take a chance on Rifle and or Muzzleloader hunting What would anyone who hunts PA give to me for advice for the 2007 season? I'm thinking of exploring the Northeast North Central areas. I'd like to hunt in a place that still has decent deer #'s but lower hunter #'s. Will I find anywhere like this? ANy help would be appreciated
  11. Re: \"Leroy\"...........R.I.P...........PHOTOS !! Congrats on an awesome buck
  12. Re: Last Weekend before season opener with the Lens Awesome pics
  13. I'm looking for a site that can show me what the weather was for days that have passed. I need this so I can relate the weather conditions to deer cam pics. I want to see why I have alot of pics one day and none the next. Thanks
  14. Public land deer. The first buck has a small 5 point rack that sticks straight up in the sky, you can really tell in this pic. The pic of the last buck is the one I want to see next Sunday. [image]http://[/image] [image]http://[/image] [image]http://[/image] [image][/image]
  15. Re: Need Help with Hunt Location I've thought about Saskatchewan. You're right, nothing cheap about it. lol.
  16. Re: Need Help with Hunt Location Sounds good. Any preferred guides? Can you hunt public lands or is everything leased? How easy are these states to obtain tags. I heard Kansas is hard. Thanks
  17. Me and my Dad want to plan a Whitetail Deer hunt somewhere in 2008. Preferably a Rifle hunt and maybe a combo hunt. My Dad will be 65 and we've never been on a guided hunt together. We've been deer hunting together all my life but want to get a chance to shoot a really nice deer. Could anyone give me some insight on what might be the best states to hunt? Canada might be an option as well and maybe places out west or northwest. We're from Rhode Island and like to hunt in the cold. Well I do anyway. lol. We don't want to hunt in the south. Thanks. Any help would be appreciated. I'm just starting my research so any bit of info will help. Thanks again.
  18. Re: Haven\'t Seen This Guy in at Least 3 Years! Very nice deer. Hope you get a shot at him
  19. Re: Gerber Carnivore tracking light Sounds like a very honest answer. I respect that. It doesn't sound like they're trying to BS you. I'll wait a bit to see if we can get someone who actually tries it this year before I commit.
  20. Re: some new pics from the homebrew Nice pics. Very good range
  21. Re: White Deer definitely flash
  22. Re: Gerber Carnivore tracking light Yeah, I can't see them selling for $18. Even E-bay has them full price.
  23. Re: Gerber Carnivore tracking light I wish I could find some sort of review on it. I guess I'll have to wait
  24. I'm looking for some feedback from someone who has used the new Gerber Carnivore tracking light. Looks like it would be a big help but it's new and I haven't heard much about it. Anyone use it yet and like it?
