  1. Wow... those are impressive! Good job finding them! Eric
  2. Re: I bet any member on here a case of moutain dew! I don't need all that caffine so I won't take the bet... however Ryan Newman will get it together this year and take the Chase! Eric
  3. Re: Congrats to Deldeer Good job Deldeer but your right... it's still a long season! Eric

Re: read this Geeez! Those things are huge. Look like Gators. Kinda glad we don't have those things round here. Cool pics though. Bet that was fun! Eric
  5. Re: Getting that top water bass action itch. Too early for topwater here. Once the water temps get into the upper 50's to low 60's they start slamming a buzzbait or Pop'R then. Topwater action starts getting going around first of April here on average. Depends on how cold a winter we get. Right now a suspending jerkbait is hot with temps in the mid-upper 40's. Eric
  6. A friend of mine and I got off from work a little early today and went fishing. We hit a couple ponds at one of my hunting properties and tore em up. We put in one pond and at the end we started fishing the water temp was 45.3. We worked our way toward the back and when we got to a spawning flat the water temp was 55.2. That's where we smoked em. We caught 12 bass and lost 4 more within 15 minutes in that little pocket. They were right up against the bank. I was catching them on a jerkbait and a jig-n-pig and my buddy was catching them on a worm. We caught a couple more heading back to the truck and decided to try another pond before dark. The water temp there was from 45-47. No real warm water and we only caught 2 bass. Before we left we made a couple cast in one more pond from the bank and I caught a nice female that weighed 6.5 lbs. I took a bunch of pics on my disposable cam but didn't have my digital. When I get the film developed I'll post some pics. Most of the fish we were catching were from 1-2.5 lbs. Pretty awesome couple hours of fishing for mid February! Eric
  7. Re: March Madness Picks.... Kansas got upset last night! I think UNC will take it all!! Will beat Illinois for the title! Eric
  8. Re: 4 Words 4 more words: Yankees win the Series! Eric
  9. Re: Kurt Busch-Ugh If Rusty can have any luck he could be a treat for the Chase. He ran well last year but seemed to have a lot of bad breaks. I'd love to see Martin get a championship though. He sure deserves one. Been so close so many times. At least Rusty has one! Eric
  10. Re: March Madness Picks.... We do it at the office every year. I'm game! Eric
  11. Re: Kurt Busch-Ugh Kurt Busch shouldn't even be allowed to have a drivers license! Eric

  13. Re: 1 eye or 2 eyes I'm left eye dominant and shoot right handed. I use one eye. Haven't really tried with both eyes. I may have to and see how it goes. My brother shoots with bow eyes open and he's all over the place sometimes. I thought that was half his problem! Eric
  14. Re: Good luck fellow league members Good luck y'all! I can't wait to get this party started!! Eric
  15. Re: found something better Mike, I've used them for bass only. I'm not sure they make plastic for crappie or other species. They make worms, lizards, flukes, grubs, craw worms, and the Senko style worms. They may have others but they mainly target bass I believe. I would imagine the grubs would work on anything. The thing about these baits is they float. You Texas rig a worm and it will float up from the bottom. You Carolina rig one and it will stay OFF the bottom. The Zero's sink though. They are just like a Senko. Give them a try. I think you will like them. Eric
  16. Re: He made the All Stars That's great! Congratulations Casey! Eric
  17. Re: Changing the Daytona 500 I don't know guys... I see where your coming from though. I just get so geared up for the 500 to start the year that I hate to see them change it. If they didn't go to the "Chase" format I would so go for it having the Daytona 500 the last race but the way the "Chase" deal plays out I'm not sure. Might be great and worth a try once but I still like it as the first race to kick off the year! Eric
  18. Re: found something better Wave Worms do work great for much less than Senko's. I use Strike King's 3X Zero's. They are about the same thing and work great too. You can catch a lot of fish off of one worm before it's trashed. I used a 3X 7" worm once in a pond and caught 18 bass off the same worm. They only come 5 to a pack but don't let that discourage you. You will catch a PILE of fish off of them! My tackle bag is full of them! Just don't use them against me in a tournament! Eric
  19. Re: DUUUUUKE!! I think I'm going to get sick! YAAAK! Man I can't stand Duke! Wish we could play them again at Chapel Hill! Eric
  20. Re: Going for a BIG Blue Well it was a beautiful day but the fish didn't bite. We caught 2. One weighed maybe 8 lbs. and the other about 4 lbs. Not what we were expecting. The tide was horrible. Didn't seem to move much. Oh well...we might try again next weekend! Eric
  21. Re: **Bud Shootout wild card picks** I'm going with Dale Earnhardt Jr. for the shootout
  22. My neighbor and I are going to hit the James River Sunday. We are going after a big Blue cat. The big ones are biting and the weather is suppose to be good. Mid 50's for a change with light winds. Hopefully we will catch a TOAD! I'll show pics if we do. Eric
  23. Re: whats the best ammo for deer I use Lightfield slugs and can say they are awesome on deer. I've taken deer from 15 yards to 100 yards with them and they flat smoke em! Eric
  24. Re: New Martin Girl..She\'s HOT I thought that was my wife holding that bow for a second! I didn't think she bow hunted! That first pic is just plain ruuuude! Eric
  25. Re: Duke lost That's right VaTechHunter! They should stick to football though! LOL (I was hoping they would win though!) Eric
