Hey Tim, I'm surprised that you took the pumpkin chucker with you. How come no bow?

My food plot is in the middle of the woods so I have to clear branches every year so that it gets enough sunlight. It is about 20 yards wide by 35 yards long. The food plot was already on the property when I bought it in 1999. I planted it myself for the first time in 2000 with just clover and have tried some different seeds since. I have had very good success with WI Winter Greens for years till this demon weed showed up. About 4-5 years ago this weed appeared for the first time but just a few plants. I thought I had pulled them all out but the next year there were more. It was to the point where there were too many to yank so I let them go. Big mistake! Now for the last 2 years they grow so thick that they crowd out and canopy whatever I grow. Last fall I planted a high dollar clover seed and it was going good till late July when this weed starts to appear. Now I've considered mowing or weed whacking but I don't want to kill what I've planted. I'm ready to nuke this entire plot and start over. Do you have any suggestions? Here is a couple pics I took the second week of October and you can see that it is still flowering. Now if I could just get the deer to like it

I listened for 5 min. and waited for him to get to the point. I got bored. I think we all know that our government is borrowing too much and is set for an eventual collapse. I'm not sure if we have go so far in debt that it cannot be fixed but I hope we can before its too late.

Having said that, back to the subject at hand. Great pics and story Matt. Very cool! Back on Mothers Day 1993 we had the same thing happen to us but it was a buck. Do you remember the year it snowed like 6 inches on Mothers Day? It was that day and deer walked up to my dad and others in our group. We fed him crackers but he would not let us touch him. Like you he licked our guns and several other items. We figured he was somebodies pet deer that was released. We walked away and left him on the hill. He probably wound up in someones freezer come deer season. Let us know how your first date goes with the rehab girl. :tt1:

Martin, in the past they were Game Wardens and there job was checking you and me for a hunting and fishing license every now and then. Now our "game Wardens" spend more than 50% of their time monitoring air pollution, water run-off, land fills and toxic waste sites, petroleum and chemical storage. Hence the name Environmental Police. Many years ago they were their own separate entity but now they all go to the Trooper Academy and have become Environmental Troopers. It's very similar to the show Alaska State Troopers but the En Con Officers here get a different uniform.
