  1. A big thumbs up to Knight and Hale! Thanks for sharing the info!
  2. I have a Doghouse Pop-Up Blind. I have been using it for 4 years. They have enough room for me and both of my kids plus I can still draw my bow with ease. Now Dick's Sporting Goods sells a brand that is very similar to the Doghouse. If you wait until deer season they usually go on sale for $59. You cannot build one that cheap. Check out the link and give them a try. http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4022375&cp=2367438.2367824.2292572
  3. The shape of my mouth will not let me use a diaphram. I have a box call and a slate that I really like to use.
  4. If you are like me and a million miles from Green Bay, here is a link so you can see a live feed from tonights celebration at Lambeau. It is supposed to start at 4pm central. http://www.wfrv.com/news/live
  5. Same here Anthony. Things will be white here for probably another 2 months. I'm tired of shoveling.
  6. Amen! There was one comment I heard Troy Aikman during the season that stuck with me. In a nutshell he said that when he is on the road covering football games, his favorite stop is Green Bay. He said this was because the Green Bay fans treat him better than than he gets treated in Dallas.
  7. Back in 1992 when I first started dating my wife it was the quincentennial year for Columbus Day. That year my wife was Miss Columbus New York State. Part of the celebration included a big crane and they hung the Mount Rushmore flag. Before we did the National Anthem we were given a lecture on proper Anthem etiquette. It is improper to make any noise whatsoever during the National Anthem. It was explained to us that during many sporting events people will yell and cheer during "...the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air". It is wrong to do that. It may be a tradition to scream during the National Anthem in Chicago but in fact they are being very disrespectful to our flag.
  8. Too many great commercials to pick just one this year. The two that got the biggest laughs at my house were the "Doritos Grampa" and the "Bridgestone Beaver" New is right, the "Doritos finger licking" commercial gave me the creeps.
  9. Here is some video of the event. http://watertown.ynn.com/content/532523/chili-contest-heats-up-in-watertown/
  10. Thank you Darla, Lynn and everyone else for all of the well wishes. Peter and I served chili to about 850 people yesterday. We didn't win the Peoples Choice Award this year but the judges thought ours was the best out of 35 chili entries. Here are some pictures and thank you once again for your well wishes and support. Now I must get back to cleaning up and packing away. Here is my partner Peter. We made about 20 gallons of chilli. After all of the chili was gone.
  11. Ahem.... In my best Freddy Mercury..... Weeeeee are the champiooooons my friiieeeends! First place baby!!!! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes!
  12. If Joe doesn't go I doubt I will. I like having hime for a co-pilot. When you find out for sure Joe please let me know.
  13. Assorted pizzas, mozzarella sticks, buffalo chicken crescents, chips and dips.
  14. Be sure to stop by the North Country Chili Cook-Off at the State Office Building in Watertown. I will be serving chili at booth #20 and I could use your support. Last year we won 2nd place with the judges and the Peoples Choice Award. We hope to do the same again this year. Mention the RT Forums and I will give you a glass of wine! Wish me luck!
  15. Same here. I am a loyal follower of the Charlie Alshiemer (who designs the Deer and Deer Hunting calendar) and his moon phases book.
  16. Pro Bowl was a joke! I'd like to see a NFL vs CFL in a North American Bowl.
  17. In case you have not heard. No cheerleaders this year. :boo:
  18. Very nice! I'm sure it will find a good home.
  19. I do the same thing but I grill mine. Either that or I make a chicken wing pizza with some Walmart dough. I don't care for Buffalo Wild Wings. Very over priced and small portions. I can buy a 5 pound bag of wings for what a dozen wings costs.
  20. They forecasted 12-18" and we got about 8". Just a normal day in northern New York here.
  21. Awesome work Ross! Very impressive!

    Am I the only one

I love my job. Teaching kids how to work with wood is a hoot. I would not trade my job. I hate the parents who think their child can never do anything wrong and that everything is the teachers fault. I hate the politics of the educational system that hog tie the hands of our adminstrators with no money and outragous expectations. I hate the mainstream media who think that lower test scores are caused by inferior teachers and not by the stupid standardized tests that we are brainwashing our kids with. I hate the ACLU which defend incorrigible students who should be in jail and not sitting next to your child on the bus.
