My chest freezer is a Kenmore also.We've had it for about 8 years now without any problems.It had a scratch down one side so we got it a little cheaper.No bigge since we keep it in the garage.If I was going to buy a new one now I would probably get a big upright just to take up a little less floor space in the garage.

Maybee get a pup and train it to your needs.I have a beagle that's 7 now and as far as running rabbits he just seemed to know what to do right from the start.It must be instinct to them.A little time with them and they learn fairly quick what you want from them.Unfortunately I lost my rabbit hunting spot so now he's more like the kids dog than a rabbit hound,but I'm sure if I took him out again he would still know what to do.

Looks great!It's kinda nice to change things up a little.I had long hair in from high school till I was about 24.Seems like it's back in style now for the high schoolers again.I kept telling the wife it would come back again but she didn't believe me.Now it's a #2 on top and a #1 on the sides for me.

Jr's a classy guy...I don't see him pulling off. I would still like to see DEI succeed ,and I think they'll be alright if Thereesa puts the right people in place to run things. It will be intersesting to see how Jr does next season at Hendrick with Eury Jr still on the pit box.

The Blues beat the Ducks last night 4-2.Another game not televised.Why in the world they would put poker on Fox Sports instead of hockey I have no clue.Looks like I'm going to the game Saturday when they take on the Caps.Should be a good time. I did watch the Pens-Rangers game.I can't believe with all the talent between these teams that only one goal was scored.Sounds like the Rangers are off to a pretty slow start.

Mapquest actually has great aerial photos,but no topo maps.I use them to locate spots on the property that look good,but I still go in and scout,and locate my stand from what I find on foot.

Looks like I'm in the minority,but I think it may live.If it hit in "no man's land" and missed all the vitals and arteries it should heal up.I remember reading a post a couple of weeks ago about someone hitting a deer in the same spot and not recovering it,but their brother shot it about a week later and the wound was healing.

I've bought my permits from Wally world the past few years and every time it seems like it's a fiasco.They either don't want to help you or don't know how to and you end up spending an hour back there in Sporting goods.Next year I'm going to find some place else to get them at.

We don't have any restrictions on any of the properties I hunt on.Generally my choice is to pass on any buck that I think is 1 1/2 or younger and any doe is fair game.Come December,if I don't have meat in the freezer then I probably would take a younger buck,but so far that hasn't been the case, and every 1 1/2 old buck has gotten a free pass from me for the past 5 years.

High temps and 30 mph winds kept me at home this weekend.I had to get a few projects out of the way anyhow so my schedule is all clear for the rut.It's supposed to cool down some this week and hopefully I'll make it out some this week.

I hunt about an hour east of STL and am not seeing or hearing about much yet.Seen a few small scrapes,but they probably don't mean much yet.Weather has been mid 80's which has things slowed down some too.I have heard about some younger bucks sparring a little so that's a good sign.I think were stiil a week or two away from the good pre rut stuff here.I plan on hitting it pretty hard after Holloween.

Blues lost to the Wild Saturday night.Minnesota looks like to be a tough team this year.The Blues just flat out played awfull.I'm sure coach Murray will work the boys hard this week at practice and hopefully they'll get back in the groove.

Whoo!That's a healthy big bodied deer right there.

Well,my season is off to a bad start.On my one property I had to move my stand because someone else is hunting on the neighbors property and put a stand up not far from mine.I moved it in the rain yesterday and am not too crazy about the new location,but since this property is so small it's about my only other option.On top of that the landowner of my other place to hunt called and said that a new guy will be shotgun hunting with us up there this year and that starting this weekend two other guys will be bowhunting it also.We have a small group of guys that go up during the summer and mow the grass,fix the tractor,trim the field road back, and general maintanence, and now it seems like he's just letting anybody go up there and hunt, and no doubt they'll probably be hunting my food plot this weekend.I can't wait till I get my own property.Enough about my rant. Highs are supposed to be 78 tomorrow and 82 on Sunday,but looks like a cool down next week.I doubt I'll go out this weekend,but will probably have a few sits next week.

Same here.I'v seen the my camera take a deers pictures a few times right at dark and the flash doesn't seem to bother them a bit.I have noticed it spook them a little when I have it set to take 2 or 3 consecutive pics,so now I just keep it set to take one.
