    DISH Network

I've never heard anything good about Dish.We just got Direct T.V. and it'been pretty good.We have a load of channels and their customer service has been good so far,and you get someone that speaks english on the phone if you ever need them.
  2. Yep,it happens. It's always a good idea to check the old filter and make sure the gasket didn't stick to the base...I learned this from my days at Valvoline.
  3. Congrats Todd!Better start getting names picked out.
  4. Happy birthday Wildotter!
  5. Yea,the Buck Nip is the one that caught my eye.6 bucks for2 pounds isn't bad.I've got about an acre I'm doing this year and was looking at 4 lbs of the Buck Nip and 11 lbs of winter peas...total cost with shipping would be $35.I'm going to get started spraying this weekend so I need to decide here in the next week or two.
  6. The only reason I wear it is because I won a Dream season suit last year from Drury.I'm not sure I would have bought one,but the prices are coming down a little. My problem is I go away 4 or 5 times a year for between 3 and 6 days and we don't have electricity so I can't re-activate.I've also heard arguments of wether or not a dryer actually gets hot enough to activate the carbon. In theory it sounds great, but who knows.I personally haven't seen much of a differance, and you still have to use sound scent control practices.
  7. Holy snikkees Sam16,those are cheap.I was leaning toward Evolved Habitats stuff, but I think you may have just changed my mind for me.
  8. I was thinking about getting the Rage 3 blade, but now Wildotter has me thinking.I did see that Rage has a recall on some 3-blade heads.I've heard good things about the grim Reapers though.
  9. Yep,Jeramie hit the nail on the head. You need TONS of hunting footage, and will need some editing software to put together a top notch audition tape.It will probably take a few years to get to where you need to be,but don't get discouraged. It is way harder to fill tags when your trying to get great footage.A buddy of mine has talked to the Drury's quite a bit and been sending in footage for them to go over and critique for the last couple of years and I don't think he's too far off if he sticks with it.
  10. Happy birthday Lou!Hope you have a good one!
  11. I use the same arrow again as long as it's not bent.I still shoot good old aluminums.I've shot 2 deer with one arow and it's still in my quiver, but I've also had some get worked over pretty good if they weren't pass throughs.
  12. Congrats to both of you! That's pretty awesome.

    still camping!!

Sounds like a great time!Enjoy the rest of your trip....hope you get to set a few more hooks.
  14. NIICCEE!That is one sweet bike!Great job,and welcome to the forums.
  15. My rider didn't have a fuel shut-off on it either.I bought a cheap plastic one to throw on, and now anytime I'm not using it I keep it shut off.Since then I haven't any problems it.
  16. Hmmm, the Briggs on my rider does the same thing if I leave the gas turned on without running it for too long.It will also get gas in the oil which overfills the crankcase making some white smoke.I would try turning the gas off, changing,or checking the oil out, and replacing the spark plug.If that doesn't work I would try persuading it with a sledge or pick axe.
  17. Man,that sounds awesome Shaun!Neil is a great player...sounds like he's a pretty good guy.
  18. Sounds like a great weekend Craig!Happy birthday to your daughter!
  19. Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it.If I'm going to put in the work I want to do it right this time.I'll probably go and spray next weekend to get the ball rolling. and mow and plow at the end of the month. We don't have a disc yet,but we do have a big old aerator looking thing thta was left there that we converted to use on a atv that works things up pretty well with a few passes.I'll let you know how my progress is going and post some pics as I go.
  20. Nice! That should be sharp.I here he makes a great bowstring.
  21. Like Jay Gregory..."I'm not a farmer I'm a deer hunter",so I need a little lesson in food plots. I put a plot of oats in a few years ago that did decent, but I'm really not sure what I'm doing. We have about 1 1/2 acres on the farm that's clear and in the middle of the woods that looks like an ideal spot for a plot.I'm wanting to plant more of a fall hunting plot and figure I better get on the stick and get started in the next few weeks. We have a small sprayer, plow, and a mower. What would be a good to plant here and when should I plant...maybee September? What are some basic steps for getting a good stand? Like: 1-mow 2-spray 3-plow 4-lime 5-plant 6-fertalize Does that basically sound right?
  22. Always gotta be the center of attention dont you.:D
  23. Sounds sweet! I was an "old school" guy till about 6 years ago and always shot with fingers.I seen a slow mo video a buddy had of how the string twists with your fingers when you draw and makes the arrow fly with a wobble so ended up getting a release. It's way easier on the old fingers too.Sounds like you should be ready to wackem' and stackem' come huntiung season. Let us know how you like the sight.
