...I'm off to Ohio for the weekend!I've been looking forward to this trip for months now.Goint to Rossburg with some friends to see the super late model World 100 at Eldora Speedway.It's quite the event and the racing is usually awesome.We camp right across from the track along side about 25,000 other dirt racing fans. When I get back only three more weeks till October 1! I'll see ya back here on Monday!

It's a good thing JR. didn't end up at Gibbs.I hope Tony wins a championship this year,because i think they will struggle next season.It'll be a shame to see Hamlin struggle because the kids got tons of talent and I think he would run better in a Chevy.I could be wrong,but if Waltrip's expierience is any sign of what's to come Gibbs will taking a few steps back next year.

Most of my shooting is off the ground,but after I hang my stands I bring my target out and set it up in the spots where I think they are going to travel and take a few shots.

Sounds like some sweet upgrades Ken.After hunting season is over I'm going to start framing my basement for a family room.I would like to have that part done by spring and maybee next winter put in a bathroom and wet bar on the other half.

There are some deals to be had on ebay,just watch the shipping charges.Some people have a great price,but charge outrages rates for shipping.Nick has a good suggestion.I subscribe to a few off road mags and every other page has an ad for a store,catalog,or website.That's where I find places to buy all my stuff.JC Whitney does have a pretty good selection of stuff at decent prices these days too.

Here is the equipment I used.I pulled them behing the four wheeler.It sure isn't much,but with some hard work it got the job done. I built the contraption on the left with some scrap steel and a few cultivator spikes.It works great for pulling the weeds out. Does anybody know what the one on the right is?It was tied in with about 5 other ones,and I just took this section off and put some flat stock on it to pull behind the atv.Doesn't work too bad for pulling it out of the woods,but a disc would certainly make the job easier.

Finally planted my first real fall plot on Sunday.I planted 5 lbs. of a mix from maxi-rack that has brassica,turnips,and rape, and planted 8lbs. of austrian winter peas on around 1/2 acre. Here is a pic facing north that shows the seedbed before I planted.Talk about a lot of work!You can see the weeds on the edge and that is what the whole field looked like when I started.I'm going to clear that half of the field out in the spring and plant beans and lab lab.

I feel your pain brother.I need to get my plot seeds in the ground,but been waiting three weeks for some rain in the forecast.It looks like Monday will be my last chance to get the fall plot in because I'm busy till the end of september.All I can do is seed and pray for rain.The 10 day weather outlook looks pretty bad,but hopefully we'll get at least some rain next week.

A buddy at work has a few deer out at his farm and two of them are in bad shape and probably won't make it from blue tongue.It's some nasty stuff.He lost one last year from it also.

I believe I would get a different choke and try some other slugs.

Congrats on the 15 bucks anyways.LOL A couple of years ago my sister found some fake winning scratch-offs and gave them to the wife and I for our birthday.We never looked them over very good,just scratched away and bingo....20 grand winner.Made my heart skip a beat.Once we started reading the thing we realized they were fake,but everyone got a laught out of it.

Sounds like a great time Whiskey!Bristol is one place I would love to go see a cup race at someday.From what I here it's quite an experience. How far away are you from Rossberg?I'll be there for the World 100 at Eldora in a couple of weeks.That's real racing.

I saw it last night for the first time...pretty entertaining stuff.I think Stephen Baldwin broke his clavical,and another guy broke some ribs.That fruitcake Johny Fairplay seems to be doing pretty well.I think Josh Haynes is going to get better,he's a tough kid.I watched him on Ultimate Fighter.The old American Gladiator guy Nitro seems to be a pretty timid about the whole thing.I never thought I would see Vanilla Ice riding a bull either.They have a pretty wide array of celebs on.
