Went in to look for some more goose shell deeks. Need a bigger spread. They had some redhead shells marked as $79 Weird they look just like the $99 shells..............Well long story short was they were the same shell. Department manager came over and I said I wanted 2 dozen of the $79.............He looked and said I will be right back. Few minutes later here he came with 2 dozen and a P.O..............they were the same. They had them mismarked and never argued a bit. Just said here ya go................. Call it what you want. You make it sound like we don't try and retrieve. We have done the fishing pole method and it does work. However you get a cripple on a 100,000 acre lake like texoma and then talk to me about chasing one down. You get to far out in a tube on this lake and the wind picks up there is no getting back to bank. I'm not saying I personally lose 10. I'm talking about my group and we normally have 4 guys. 2 of us also invested in dogs this year and have been doing alot of training.

We hunt alot of lakes. I would say on average probably lose 10 a year. Unfortunately with no boat and no dog until now if there was a strong wind and the bird didn't drop within wading distance of the bank there is no way to get to them. One of the reason I shoot a full choke. It's either hit or miss. Not many crips with a full

Jeramie, I've shot 5575's out of a 70 lb bow with 28"draw for last 5 years. Never had an issue and I've shot them from 26.5 to 29 long. Sounds like that arrow had damage and you didn't catch it. If you aren't comfortable then don't shoot them. I'm like Okie................if I'm not confident then I ain't shooting it.

She went in yesterday morning at 8am with labor pains. She was only 22 weeks and 4 days. Baby Corbyn was born last night just before midnight and passed away around 10 minutes later. It was all do to an infection in the placenta. I can't tell you the pain and anguish she is in right now. I'm sure it will take alot of time for the wounds to heal. All she has wanted since I had kids was to have a baby. She spoils my children every chance she gets and will make a great mother one day. I was in the room til 4 am last night and comforted her as much as I could but I know she has many rough days ahead. Thanks, Hutchies

I shot the Turbohawk and Alphamax side by side with my eyes closed and I chose the Turbo...............glad I did because to me they are the same bow but $300 difference. I know there is the Magnesium riser arguement but bows were built for years before they switched to billet.

1st thing I thought when you said blazers are contacting and you fell vibration is that the adjustment screw in the rest is loose.

I'm another fan of tight patterns...............full or extra full with #2's or BB's. We hunted geese last year and I switched over to 3.5" BB because some of the geese with 3" #2's would keep on flying. Right now I'm still shooting my Mossberg 835 with the turkey barrel and a Carlson's full choke. I will be shooting 4"s for ducks because most of our shots are long and BB for Geese.

Todd actually you will be glad to know Mater got more than I did..........LOL. When you live 2 hours from Bass Pro you have to stock up when you go there....... They had Lee "Gunny" Emery signing autographs too.

Went to Ft Worth and Dallas yesterday doing a little bill collecting from some customers that were late. Ended up about 7 miles from bass pro. Needed to pickup some more duck scent and dummies for the dog anyway so I swung in. My wife for the last month has told me how she wants to go duck hunting this year. Decided to surprise her with a shotgun so I ran back to check out the 20 guages................Found just what I was looking for and at a dang good price. The 870's are on sale right now for$289 and you get a $30 mail in rebate.............$259 for that gun is a heck of a deal. All the shelf models had 21 inch barrels on them. Well we found what I needed in the back finally............20 guage with 28 inch barrel............very nice. She should be able to put the hurt on some ducks, geese, dove, and clay pigeons with that bad boy. Only bad part was I was bored while waiting for them to call and see if I was a terrorist so I wandered over to the land of duck and goose calls.......... I knew better than to start blowing a few of them but what can I say it's in my blood. Picked up a Zink's goose call and fell in love. I've never blown a goose call that you could barely blow in and it sounds perfect. Couldn't walk away so I ended up with it.................then on my way back somehow a Carlson's full choke tube for my Mossberg 835 ended up in there. I can't wait for season.............it can't get here soon enough

Took the day off to spend with the wife and kids on a few of their last days of summer before returning to school. Dang it's nice to sleep til 9..........forgot what that felt like. Haven't done much all day..............Did workout and weigh in. Down 60 lbs..........hit the 220 mark today and dang it feels good:pullup:. If the temps will drop this evening gonna try to finish framing in the porch. Anyway just figured I would post this for all you guys having a rough hump day..................

There have been instances in the past and yes it does happen. I didn't say all mods so please don't try putting words in my mouth. I remember days when a guy couldn't name what flavor skoal he liked and sure as heck couldn't mention alcohol on here. I think in the big picture of things alot of good people left because this place is becoming more like the bickering on archerytalk than the realtree we all enjoyed once many years ago. The only reason I'm still here is a handful of okies that I like to talk to. Occasionally I post....................Many times I don't because I'm so tired of the "no, that's not right my Rages are the best" mentality.
