  1. Something hook related....How bout "Back 40 Hooker" maybe not
  2. I just use common sense...I do not rely on gimmicks anymore like scent lok or scent blocker. I see equal amounts of game with or without it, so instead of dropping 400 or so into a new scent suit, i bought a top of the line gore-tex suit this year. I rely on the wind, height of my stand, and just using common sense...no coffee in the mornings, take a scent free shower, use baking soda based non-scented deodorant, non scent wash on myself and clothes, and since i hunt around cattle most of the time...i walk through as many cow pies as i possibly can. I use some cover scents, apple, acorn, earth, stuff like that. I just think there is another way than spending hundreds on the "scent" suits.
  3. I just cannot figure why people shoot stuff in the head with a bow...but i guess it works. nice animal.
  4. the buzzards are circling over the kill....
  5. Someone has been playin with photoshop.
  6. I like dead down wind spray, and taking scent free showers, using cover scents, and getting high up in a tree, i have taken many animals, two which are in the record books, i am not impressed (anymore) by the scent clothes. I used to like stuff called stealth dust, but i cannot find it any more.
  7. Nobody says anything when we do good....Yeah, we took a good one today. Better luck next week.
  8. Like always i will go to my local shop, pick up a few different bows, have the archery pro set up a different models from different companies and then I shoot them. I like a long bow, so I don't even bother shooting bows less than 33 inches axle to axle. Then after shooting them, i slowly narrow them down. For the past 6 years its always come down to Bowtech, but I did like a few Hoyts that I have shot. I currently shoot a Bowtech Commander, when it quits killing deer, i will quit shooting it.
  9. What is considered high income?? And why should you tax someone more who worked hard to get a degree and a good high paying job?? I view that as discrimination, sorry but I worked hard in college, taking loans, going in the military, saving money, working long hours, etc. to get a good job, sorry I will make a high amount of money within 10 years, but why tax me more?? Do I not deserve to be compensated for what I have suffered and sacrificed for so long? (just means for discussion, no ill manners).
  10. Headwaters of the Buckhannon River. Most of the stream is smack in between Westvaco Timber and Coastal Lumber Timer lands. its funny, both sides of the river are leased, but both sides just come down to the stream bank, so you can access it freely.
  11. Went to the mountains this weekend and had some much needed R&R time. Found fish, caught fish, had a great time, just enjoyed life to the fullest. Here are the fish...Water was low and Gin clear, conditions were tough but we managed a few... Just a few of them, but man the water was low low low.
  12. When was a kid we got hold of a pup, it was colored almost exactley like that, same looks and everything. When it got bigger it looked almost exactley like a coyote. Well dad went and asked the guy about it, and he said they all turned out like that, So he guesses his sheppard got bread by a coyote. The dog was a good little dog until you turned it loose, it would be gone for 3 - 5 days then it would come home. It would not listen to its name either. Cool pictures!!
  13. My WV address is a Rural Route...I have had some companies that wont deliver to me. But i get fed ex, and UPS packages all the time...Idiots

  15. and by the way, mollymoochers are slang for Morel Mushrooms, and ramps are a sort of wild onion that grow up high in the mountains.
  16. Just got back from the mountains from 4 days of fishing and fun. We caught a lot of fish, we fished from bergoo too elkins and alot of points in between. A few larger fish were caught, one rainbow over 20in, many wild browns in the 14 inch range, a few natives in the 8 inch range (tiny stream i might add) Saw a bear come out of the river and do about a half mile sprint straight up hill, found tons of ramps, and even stumbled onto some mollymoochers. Here go the pics. This might have been my favorite sight the entire time pig rainbow one of the larger brookies caught many browns this size, a few larger He lived under that tree behind me

  18. Goodness today was a great day, Caught tweleve smallmouth bass from 6inches to 16 inches. And the really good part, raised three muskie, caught one...near 40 inches, skinny but long. Ok, now to finish the story, to catch the muskie....we saw the fish, he kinda swam by the canoe, we froze and just drifted, went downstream about 30 yds got out and hiked up the bank, the guy i was with was above me and spotted the fish for me, i casted twice, he would look at it but not eat it, so the fish started to move off and i gave it one more, i told Dan to tell me when i was near the fish , i was going to drop the lure right in front of his face, all i did was slow it down and BAM he hit it, ran downstream hard and fast, jumped out of the water at least 3 feet. Got the net and got to put my hands on him. 13 inch smallie 16 inch smallie 16 inch smallie Muskie Muskie

  23. They are very beneficial to animals, birds, and deer. They colonize and create very thick areas. They tend to crowd out other species. Weight your options and do some research on the USDA website.
