Thanks for the quick reply , good idea on the stock! I also plan on taking the reflex sight off of my turkey gun and putting in on the ML so he doesnt get it between the eyes with the scope. IM almost more excited about getting to take him hunting this year than going myself

Sorry for the goofy title, just wanted to catch some attn. Here is my situation, I want to use my ML for my sons first whitetail hunt this fall. I have a TC omega .45 cal. I plan on using 195 gr .357 prb dead centers with a very low powder charge. my question is how low can I safely go with 777 fffg (loose powder)I was thinking like 70 grains but didnt know if i could go lower than that or not. I am willing to go as low as possible and still have enough umph to kill a whitetail. He is going to be 7 in april and is currently 50 inches tall and 53lbs, Mentally he is no doubt capable of taking the shot hes just so dang scrawny I dont want him to get all beat up by the shot. Also another problem i am facing is length of pull, The gun is definatly to big for him and I cant find a thing online about youth stocks for Omegas. Anyone know of a custom stock maker who would make an omega stock with an 11.5 inch LOP? Thanks for reading

Well thats kinda what I was figuring but dont really know for sure, Ive heard that loose 777 is hotter than pellets and I havent found any velocity charts that include my bullet and my powder. Best i have figured it should be close to 2900 fps but was wanting someone with a little more experience and resources to back that up. or tell me otherwise. Guess im gonna have to burn some powder and get out and shoot some long range with it to find out what the traj. is . Only reason I havent done that is Theres not a whole lotta places I hunt that I can shoot over 100 yds anyway. Im thinking of setting that same bullet up with a very low powder charge for my 6 yr. old to use on his first deer hunt this fall.

Anyone know what kind of velocity i should be getting from this load Ive been shooting it for a couple years now but was just curious, never shot it past 100 yds so I dont even know the trajectory any ideas? its 120grains of loose 777 3f with a 195gr .357 prb dead center out of a .45 cal omega. I use power pro mainly because I dont get to fish as much as I used to and I can leave it on for a couple of years without worrying about having my line break when I hook into a bigger fish because I didnt respool at the beginning of the year. I caught my biggest bass to date with a rod and reel that hadnt been restrung in 2 years. I also love the fact that it has no memory and casts well. I have never lost a fish due to line breakage since Ive been using it.

Urine is sterile, it contains no human scent, however if your not scent free you will leave scent from your clothes boots ect. and thats what will scare the deer away, not the urine itself. deer dont smell the urine in a scrape, they smell the scent of the deer that was there. thats why they urinate over thier tarsel glands and create licking branches.

Had to do it with my daughter, and I will say it was tough at first but after about a week she was going to sleep within 15 mins, and after two weeks she was out in less than 5. It worked for my wife and I.

well I have an 870 sps deer and the main difference between it and a standard 870 is that it has a thicker barrel and thicker reciever, plus the barrel is 2 inches longer at 23 inches as opposed to the 21 inch barrel on most. all this is supposed to make the gun more accurate when shooting sabots, and it is very accurate with every brand ive shot through it.
